Good Morning
It’s 60, going to 65 then dropping with rain later today. Expecting over an inch of rain, we need it badly.

Yesterday’s trip went well, as predicted, didn’t accomplish much when I got home. Weather was good all along the east coast.
Here’s the view approaching Marsh Harbour.

Today will be a good day to be in the shop once the rain starts. I might try to get the badges changed on the Progressive mower, I have a set of brand new blades and bolts for it, hopefully with the cordless impact, I can do it out side where it’s parked.
Then it’s band rehearsal tonight.

Morning all, gray today rain coming.
Need to take down the big tree in the forest that I cleared around and then probably the smaller one thats leaning a bit.
Might strap that one above the cut so it won't split, Just in case.
Got rest of mowing done after straightening out front of deck, I gotta stop hitting roots.

L4N - glad to hear DIL has a place in hospice-they better treat her nice!
Ron- Duck pic detail is great, nice pose.
Deer that's been sleeping under back stairs off and on for years is missing. no sighting in a few months :-(

Stay safe and be well

ken, if they don't treat her nice, she will do a runner. She assured them that she wouldn't, but the last 4 or 5 times she has been in hospital she did a runner as well as the last hospice.
I am not holding my breath that she will stay this time either.

66°F and cloudy this morning, going up to ... well, going down to 50° today, as it appears temps will be slowly dropping here all day. We had a few boomy periods yesterday, but most was just moderate rainfall. Seems the more severe stuff stayed south of us.

BEF, my ex-wife used to say I didn't listen to her ... at least, that's what I think she said.

Have a great weekend, gentlemen.

Nice looking yard, BEF, and historical millrace is cool. I read you "don't listen" post to my wife and we knowingly laughed.

That’s in my woods. I did hit some limbs, so will need to sharpen blades again.
This area was so overgrown a few yrs ago I couldn’t get thru it . I cleared it out 3 or so years ago using a ratchet rake on my bucket.
I come into this area from the gravel road beside me, it’s nice they supply a nice crossing. I pushed some stuff into a large pile in the left of this picture. Since I now have a grapple, I’ve been consolidating the larger stuff into one area in a part of the race.

A lot of trees had died from wild grape vines.

Good morning! 50° at 6:45 AM in Mariposa California. Mostly sunny. High near 85F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph

Got Medicare all set up yesterday, and had a great ride down here. Picked a very nice campsite, I’ve had a fantastic Mexican dinner from a roach coach parked nearby.

my view this morning on waking up:

The saddlemaker I used 20 some years ago on this bike is here, and he’ll put new foam and leather on it today. Happy butt, happy life!

TGIF gang!

BEF-I have many overgrown areas that I hope will look as nice as what you have done.

Got the bigger dead tree down, while it was tilting over, it split and barber chaired, all while dropping big branches.
My saw has a 20" bar , so I had to cut from both sides.

Went to drop 2 smaller trees, one got hung up so will need to pull out with tractor. When I heard another CRACK.
The slightly bigger tree next to the one I was working on started splitting about 50 feet up!

Time to go to my one work meeting today. Will pull the one tree out later and hope the other tree top will come down by itself so I can cut the rest of it.

So not a bad morning, though I'm glad I can still push the chain brake and run pretty quick.

Note the bottom of the tree trunk is missing and 10 feet behind the stump!
This one was pretty rotted.

77 now but a very cool wet weekend coming.

One of our outdoor kitties has gone missing. It’s been about 10 days now, I’ve had cats missing longer but she is a spayed female. She’s never been gone even overnight before. She was the friendliest of the group and a Pretty black and gold calico.
She didn’t roam much either like some others. I’ve had cats gone for months and show back up so you never know.

Kids and grandkids are here , my son’s birthday is Monday. They’re telling me he’s gonna be 45, but I’m only 40!

Made a Sam’s Club run this morning and I have a Walmart pickup tomorrow.

Looks like we might finally get some needed rain over the weekend. Fingers crossed.

Have a great day.
