66°F and light rain this morning, going up to 72° today. Rain and thunderstorms expected all day and into tomorrow, some with heavy rainfall.

Good morning to all! Low of 32, only going up to the high 50's today. A 60% chance of showers... I hope so, it's almost 45 days without any precip.

The greenhouse temp dropped to 45 last night.... I guess better than freezing. Nothing in there looks worse for the wear, so did it's job.

I'm not sure what's on the agenda for today, so.....

74F and partly cloudy @ 12:00, feels like 75F (Woo-hoo !!!)

Hourly forecast revised yet again, now calling for the possibility (35% chance) of isolated thunderstorms around 16:00. Chances increase after that.

NWS has issued a special statement on "Severe Storm Outlook" stating there's a slight possibility from Texas to the Lower Ohio Valley.

Yesterday was the first time we have ever seen one of these here at the house - Rose-breasted Grosbeak:

Finish coffee and then head out to finish up mowing.

Need to check fuel in Cub, probably send Woman down to gas station and have her get 3.5 gallons (the capacity of one of the fuel tanks) - that way I can fill the empty one and get an idea of what a full tank looks like visually in the "sight glass", since I don't think they are actually marked.

Once done with mowing see if I can juggle things around in the garage and make some space.

Need to feed fish today, since they got missed yesterday.

I'll bet that hot tub felt good after a day in the tractor seat, David. Are you using solar thermal panels to heat the water? I've given some thought to a setup like that, but wonder if it would still work in the winter time with the cooler temperatures and shorter days.

Sure did. No, but I have thought about it. Using the built in 4k heater and my PV.

I have on a timer to limit run to daytime. Unfortunately, my upgraded timer proved to be a down grade, only allows a single time period per day whereas I I’d prefer at least 2. So currently it run 2 hours mid day.
