46 right now...walks and lawn look pretty wet, but doesn't appear to be raining right now. High today, just about 60°

Couple meetings this morning, then I'm off to the local optometrist. Getting some floaters and cloudiness in my left eye. I've had cataract surgery on both eye (years ago)...might be getting close to needing it again. I'm left eye dominant, which aggravates the situation a bit...

Have a great day, all...be safe!!

BTW, in case I missed the post...any updates on Coco?

Good morning, low 48 and the high will be 50°F. Wind ENE 8 mph. A few showers.

If the rain holds off, I will get the landscaping and seeding done today. I'm off to the dump to get rid of the old incinerator, now that the Regency is the incinerator for the next few years. Tried to do it last Saturday, but the loader at the dump had a flat. I forgot to phone the dump yesterday and see if they got the flat fixed.

daugen; can you show me where in lifes' manual it says that we must wear socks? Socks IMHO are like haircuts, optional.

Have a safe day all

Good morning! 72˚F heading to 88˚F our 100% chance of rain today has dwindled to 10% so off to the park. We will be working on the entrance, that must mean the grand opening will be soon.

Drew there are several devices and YouTubes on how to put on socks with one hand or a sock assist. A medical supply nearby or maybe a drug store will have a device.

Good Morning!!!! 63F @ 4:00AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 87F. Winds light and variable.
The temperature made it to 75F yesterday afternoon, which with a breezy 10-15MPH wind felt just fine. It's still blowing, so we'll see if the rest of the forecast pans out.

I'll bet that hot tub felt good after a day in the tractor seat, David. Are you using solar thermal panels to heat the water? I've given some thought to a setup like that, but wonder if it would still work in the winter time with the cooler temperatures and shorter days.

Hope you don't make too many more unfortunate discoveries in your new one handed life, Drew. I don't remember socks being a problem, but buttoning a shirt and tying a shoe certainly was. I also remember putting a belt through its loops before putting the pants on. Maybe a chat with an occupational therapist would give you some new skills to help you cope better?

Spent most of yesterday under the oaks on pretty steep ground trimming trees. The ground was covered with their dried leaves, which made things a bit slick. I was still able to get the Kubota tractor up there to gather up the trimmings, but the tires were spinning until they got down to bare dirt. It will be interesting to see what happens when I try to mow that area; last year I made a point of only going up hill because I didn't want to lose control going down. And that's what I'll do this year as well.

Didn't find any real big limbs to take off yesterday, but one smaller one gave me a wrestling match trying to get the pole saw back out of the tree. Happens at least once every year, and this time was late enough in the day that I found something else to do once it let go. The chain needed tightening as well, and my neck and shoulders had had about enough.

That something else consisted of bucking the rest of the big trees the woodcutters left behind. I can finish up what's left with the electric saw in the next day or so. Still have some more trees to trim, all of them on steep ground like yesterday.

I was watching a doe wander around the back yard yesterday and saw that the grass was up to the top of her back. That's taller than I'd like, but other areas have hardly any grass at all. And I hate to cut down the lupines, but I'd better get on it before the grass is too tall to cut.

Hump Day already!
