good morning friends
Another lovely day here, highs in low 60's and full sunshine. Ten day forecast has nothing under freezing but
I'm sure that won't last.
plant birdy on one shoulder saying plant me plant me.
Birdy on other shoulder saying you aren't going to make it...

speaking of not making it, read an article on Texas food pantry crisis, that last freeze killed off much of the
vegetable supply coming into food banks. Any of you Texans, good time to take a donation to food bank.

Coffee is done brewing. 22° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 63° with sunny skies. Got all the branches picked up yesterday. All other plans got canceled. When 3 of my neighbors and I got together. Telling life stories. A very good day for all. Need to get started on pond cleanup. Not sure how much I will get done. But the plan is to get started.

Luther, seeing all the post with dump runs. Make me happy my township came up a contract to have trash pickup one time a week. They will take anything put out a road. Except environmental hazard. It is a line item on our tax bills. About $180 a year.

Kyle, best part of living out in the country. Never have to yell at some for walking on your lawn. Was talking to my son yesterday on phone. He said wow they put up a sign. SK Battery America LCC. The place is mammoth.

Drew, wish I could say no more frost this spring. Will be frost free for 4 days then back to overnight temperatures in 20's.

Check, glad you are going to get your Vaccine.

Buppies, they have forecast rain for my area later this week. Need it to wash all winter dust.

RNG, we have a power plant that pumps water out of Lake Michigan at night. Then lets it out during the day. In the process of being updated. I fished in the area. Fishing in the outlet area was great. Seems small fish got sucked in when pumping. Then let out when power was needed Larger fish were waiting for that event. Fishermen took advantage of the waiting time. Also fished around a Darlington Ontario Nuclear power plant. Great fishing. Plant uses Lake Ontario water for cooling. Same small fish story.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

29 and frosty going to 61.

BEF, glad to hear you got out on the trail. Which park did you go to?

Randy, hope your grandson had a great birthday. They grow up fast, right?

Thomas, how was that slow drive and smooth cigar?

Buppies, I've been playing pick up sticks off-and-on since the ice storm...still have 3 big pines down that I'll cut and grapple. Hope your isn't too big of a mess. I think our fire danger is back down...we got another inch of rain this week.

Worked on my gas Stihl trimmer yesterday...hadn't used it since I got my battery Echo two years ago, and the throttle cable was occasionally popping off. But, I had mounted a blade on it, and needed to cut some briars, honeysuckle and blackberries that have invaded my wife's daffodil and daylilly border along the driveway. I was amazed how quickly it started...only about 3 or 4 pulls...then smoked for a couple minutes. I repositioned the cable to take the slack out, and it ran fine. Cut an entire 12x16' tarp full and dragged down the hill to the brush pile. Then cleaned the asparagus bed...they'll be up soon.

My wife says first day of spring was 3 weeks ago, but I still go by the vernal equinox...felt good outside.

Good morning, the sun and shining and all is well.

Despite the relatively warm temperatures, grass seems slow to grow. Must either be down to cold soil - or maybe Chester zoo is missing a hippo.

Half of the UK adult population have now received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine. Even so we are still in lockdown, all non essential shops still closed, no visits with family and friends or eating out. Restrictions are due to start being lifted next month.

Good morning! 31 now, 63 or so later. Yesterday got warmer than predicted and was awesome. Not a cloud in the sky.

We got a good start on yard and garden clean up yesterday. Winter was hard on trees, got multiple ash trees down, I am guessing 4 trailer loads. Add in about 3 trailer loads I need to pick up from a local farm. Chainsaws are gonna be busy.

Today is likely gonna be similar.

Everyone stay safe out there.

24 right now...high about 60. The snow is finally really melting...still got a pile out front about 4' high....this was the snow cleared off the roof.

Definitely against any "dislike" button...we had enough hate and discontent when TBN had the friendly politics forum...sure don't want it in this forum

Hi Ron
Our dump (transfer station) costs the town around 330K per year. They looked at road side pick up 2 yrs ago the quotes came in from 900K to 1.3M. There is a local guy that does runs, I don’t know what he charges. For me (being selfish here) I have to put everything in my truck to take it to the end of the driveway, might as well unload at the dump. There are times I wish we had pick up.

26-61 today, not as cold tonight, mid 70’s by late week.

Went to Italian restaurant last night, nice table spacing and hood eats.

I think people need to recognize that when we complain about electric bills or gas prices, we are just letting off steam, nobody really cares who is to blame, we just want it better, human nature at it’s best. We don’t need, nor do we want long dissertations with notations, we just want to vent. We don’t care if one person thinks it’s X’s fault and another Y’s, we just want o keep our money for toys!

Eric, I heard about that 50% vaccinated figure for the UK. SUPER NEWS! Meanwhile, here in Canada it’s only 6%

But, it will be accelerating dramatically starting next week, as big supplies are coming in. Don’t know yet when the 1.5 million “loaner” doses from the Americans are arriving, but that will help accelerate things as well.

Meanwhile, as of 2:50 PM yesterday, I officially joined that 6%!
