Mom got her bill for the Propane. She used 90 pounds in 20 days. (One of her heaters was under repair during the deep freeze)
February 4th $2.34 a pound
February 24th $2.82 a pound
Pounds or gallons? Those sound like gallon prices.

Price prolly went up due to the increased demand and the ice storms/snow in your area. Ain't Capitalism wonderful?!?

if you look at your new bio section you will see what is apparently a counter for "good posts".
So....are we in a competition now for most "good posts"?

Now what will it take to earn your vote sir?
A dollar?
A muffin?
A birdhouse?

:)
Yes!

Rain report, central NC. Last year I kept track of the rainfall. This year more detail.

The weather industry tracks lots of things but mostly talks about volume of rain, rainfall in inches. They almost never talk about frequency so....I figured I better keep track.

For what it's worth, the weatherman said so far this year we are at 150% of normal, 1/2 again as much as normal but....they don't talk about HOW OFTEN.

January 2021.......has 31 days.....rained 24 of 31

February 2021......has 28 days......rained 17 of 28.

that's 41 out of 59 so that's rain more than 2/3s of the time, call it 70%.

Here's an ad for NC chamber of commerce. Come to NC, it only rains 70% of the days!

And we do not get that pissy PNW mist. When it rains here, katie bar the door, it comes in sheets!

To requote my septic guy......no clue when he can dig the drain fields, won't pass inspection!

This is the KNEWNRML

I was raised in northeastern NC, I could stand in the thick green grass in the front yard on sunny day and pump my feet up and down and about 30-40 seconds water would be coming up between my feet.

Looks like we might get a few hours break in the rain later, I hope so, guy is coming to get the trailer and I need to move it back from the garage where I put it with the tractor, no way a truck is squeezing in that space.
It was barely raining early so I pulled the tractor to the bottom of the back steps and dumped the cat litter in the bucket and hauled it to the woods, then washed the boxes and refilled them. I’d just been scooping and dumping for a bit too long.

Side effects are still minimal so far.

Glad your side effects are minimal Randy

Good morning to all! Low of 24, going up to near 50. Supposedly it will be windy again, but watching the weather maps, the wind will be coming out of the east.... usually means we just get light breezes.

BEF, saw your reply from yesterday. Yes I am doing much better. I am doing the home exercises to improve range of motion. Hopefully get on the schedule tomorrow for PT.

Today I need to go collect the mail, haven't gotten it since Wednesday. Hopefully still in the box and not rebundled at the main PO.

The neighbor might come over to chat a bit later.

Everyone have a great day!

65°F and 4.5 inches rain last 24 hours. Taking a break right now but more forecast.

So, another inside day most likely.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
