There is no picture attached....you may see that on refresh?

I make the post most of the time on my laptop because the keyboard is easier to use. Since I take the pics with my phone - after I post I edit with my phone and add the pic. There is a few minutes lag time before the pic appears.

Put in a call to the USAutomatic tech support and got a very friendly, and knowledgeable, guy that didn't have any problem at all answering questions from a homeowner. Put me in touch with a dealer in Dallas, who took my order for a new commercial grade gate opener that seems like it'll be able to use the battery and solar panel from the old Mighty Mule setup. And maybe the exit loop detector, too. We'll see. With a little cooperation from UPS, it should be here next week. Neither of the local installers I contacted followed through with quotes.
Because of field mice nibbling on the wires on the US Automatic gate opener I have called several times to troubleshoot. Every time there is a knowledgeable guy, usually the same one, that is very patient and walked me through the steps to find the problem. An easy fix every time with someone like that on the phone. Once he even sent me a small part free because he had one laying around. With support like that I highly recommend their gate opener.

Don, can you find out specifically what kind of sulfur is used on those potatoes?
I just ordered my Red Pontiac and Kennebec seed potatoes this morning.
And I never let them harden more than a week and maybe I should start now

Those potatoes will be planted Saturday. They usually let them harden at least 3-5 days. Here is the sulphur they use. Our soil is very alkaline because of all the limestone in this area. The sulphur adds a bit of acid.

Good to know, Don. Thanks! More of that soy based insulation. So far I don't think that's been a problem here, but I'll keep an eye out for it. More likely that rain got into the Mighty Mule opener housing. It's not sealed at all, and I've found it wet in there before.

The tech support guy confirmed that the Sentry line being sold on Amazon is the same as their Ranger 500 line. The Dallas dealer said neither were good choices for my 16' steel gate. He also told me that the Patriot he sold me was better because almost all the individual parts can be purchased separately in case something breaks. And that they're available directly from USAutomatic or from their dealers. Even better, the Dallas dealer didn't charge sales tax.:cool2:

Do you know about AirDrop? In the Photo app on the iPhone, look for the square icon with an arrow sticking up out of it when you're viewing a photo. Click it and you'll get a dialog. Pick AirDrop and you'll get another dialog. If you're close enough to your laptop, you'll see it as a choice you can pick and have the photo transferred from the iPhone to the laptop. You'll find it in the Downloads folder on the laptop, which should be in your User/username folder.

Yes, the "guy" I called was in Dallas - the return address was on the part he sent me.

I did not know about airdrop. I just tried. Lets see if it works on my garden pic yesterday.

I lost it?

I'll try again later need to head out for second shot . . . .:cool2:

Fully vaccinated people can gather individually with minimal risk, Fauci says

From CNN's Christpher Rios

Two fully vaccinated people can gather individually with minimal risk, Dr. Anthony Fauci told CNN’s Chris Cuomo Thursday.

"You can start getting together as individual people, even though the risk is not zero, the risk becomes extremely low when you have both parties vaccinated," said Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has not released guidelines about gathering with other vaccinated people.

“My professional judgement is that when my daughter wants to come in here and she is doubly vaccinated, I’m going to have her over to the house, and I’m going to give her a big hug that I haven’t been able to do for a year,” Fauci said.

This of course is the desired endgame, just seems to be taking forever.
I wrote a note to head of my church asking if they had considered opening Meeting up to fully vaccinated members and attenders.
My older doctor friend has had both his shots and he is itching to get back. As am I...

I'm waiting for the I am Vaccinated shirts and memorabilia to come out...
So all the folks wearing the big red V can do what they want.
First thing to do is patronize local restaurants to make sure they stay in business.
This must be a winter of financial heartbreak for many.

got in my snowblower auger bender aka big azz 18" adjustable wrench
Says the size on one side, Forged Steel on other, but no country of origin. Brand is Olympia
And none on Amazon listing. Pretty crude casting, but for twenty bucks vs 100, it will give me a heavy
wrench to bend the auger blade back into position if I wedge another stone in there. Which is likely.
Popgadget is my inspiration here.

34°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 48° again today. Lower 60s predicted for tomorrow.

Stayed up way too late last night doing some work in the studio. Didn't get to bed until almost midnight. Dragging a bit this morning.

L4N, I have several friends who are teachers, and all have been more than happy at one point or another over the years to set me straight on my grammatical inaccuracies. I don't mind it at all, as I've always liked learning new things, especially when it's something I "knew" that turns out to be not so. I find it fascinating the knowledge we sometimes carry with us for a long time that turns out to be simply not true. I marvel at that in the age of information, until I realize there's just as much or maybe even more bad information available to us these days. When I listen to people around me speaking on a daily basis - and sometimes even myself - I wonder that any of us have a high school diploma, much less a college degree. I have some very educated and very intelligent friends who simply don't care that they consistently use the wrong words. That baffles me.
