Wife has to go to work..not good

BEF - prayers for your brother

L4N - more kittens ?

Ron - great colors in sunrise

Drew - yeah! first vaccine shot

L4N - how did you fit the boat in the ice fishing cabin, no less the hole in the ice :)

Mostly - hope the wife is ok and gets some rest

PopG - glad your ok, and a new internet sensation ??

When I was in Dayton they seemed to have two seasons, summer and mud

Stay safe and be well, watching heavy snow while I work and hoping it really does get warmer later. Gave my wife the truck as it's safer in the snow.

Good Morning!!!! 52F @ 5:30AM. Sunny. High 62F. Winds light and variable.
Sunny day for a change yesterday, but more than enough wind to leave me chasing my hat.

The fellow I had hoped was a forester was just an estimator, and clearing fire debris was a side line his company developed to keep employees busy during the off season. Their "main" job is contracting fire fighting services during fire season. I'll still get an estimate for debris removal, but not the help I need in deciding what, if anything, to plant in place of what burned. Half a loaf.

Finished packing and puttered the rest of the day, hoping to get on the road by ten this morning.

Need a little more sleep, first though.

TGIF, and hope everyone has a great weekend!:drink:

kenmbz, same two I got before Christmas.

I don't bother with fish huts anymore. You try digging a hole in the ice 24" thick and 26 feet long by 8' wide. I didn't have a chain saw then.

Good morning! Our two seasons are 1. Nice and 2. drought

Today is nice as we are in the average temp range for winter 46˚F to the mid 60s. A slight North wind. A chance of rain, my Tempest weather station is already alerting to lightning 23 miles away.

Dentist was uneventful, I still don't know what these people look like, I started using them a year ago and mask are worn all the time. They just charge and extra $8 to sanitize the room not $50 like the other dentist did. However I heard that he went down on his sanitation fee, too late he lost me.
We did a Costco run after and I noticed a Natural foods grocery store across the street. They had whole bean roasted Ethiopian Coffee so I got a small bag to taste what Wngsprd is drinking. I put it through the grinder this morning and it a very smooth black coffee. A good coffee to add to my goal of being a coffee tasting expert, however I need to get familiar with the type of adjectives used to describe the flavors.

Finished scalping the yard and produced 6 recycle bags of cutting. I think I need to lower the mover on more level and cut it again. The dental assistant said it will snow next week so I'll wait till after that. She also said that there is a housing shortage both in used houses and new houses. You have to get on a waiting list to get you house built to wait for material. On our neighborhood real estate site we have more homes under contract than on the listed side. The new home section is pouring slabs every day. They were thinking it would be 8 years before they ran out of lots and left but at the speed they are building it looks like half of that.

Ron there is a new Snowbird parking site about 10 miles from here that they started making in the fall. Yesterday I went by and it has 100s of RV there. On google map it's just a field.

Good morning, the temperature is 29°F and going up to 32. Wind ESE 19 mph. Snow squall watch in effect. Ought to be good for at least 2".

Today is going to be the warmest day for a week. I have always said that it has to get warm to snow. When we were in the single digits temperature wise it didn't snow. Now it has warmed up and a snow squall watch. During the squalls we can expect winds from the SW and gusting to 35 mph.

The kittens get their first shots next Tuesday and then castrated at the beginning of March.

An energy conservation day for sure.

Stay safe all

Wow, Looking, you must have seen a different snow squall watch. We are looking at a big whack of snow coming. (Up to 40 cm. Or 16 “.)

About 4 inches so far.

Kyle, how is your son? Hope not hurting from his crash.

Thanks all, he's OK. He complained of a bad headache the night of the accident. We gave him Tylenol and kept him awake. He has 9 bruises from the waist down, and a sore shoulder thats already better.
He's hounding me about getting it going again....

Good afternoon! It was all of 5 when I woke up this morning. 32 now, supposed to see 38 today. Feels good outside.

Had a follow up doctor appointment this morning from the little visit to the hospital back in December. I weigh the same as I did 1 month ago...actually figured I put some weight on. My liver enzymes which were a mess when I was discharged from the hospital have returned to normal. BP, BOL, HBPM, etc. are all normal. Lungs sound normal and not short of breath, so likely did not suffer any scarring of the lungs that is so common with Covid pneumonia. Maybe all of the steroids they gave me for my lungs was worth it, even tho they were hard on my liver and kidneys for a while. He even released me to go back to work starting Monday

Need to go outside and see what I can get into....take advantage of this decent weather.

Everyone stay safe out there

I'm glad you're getting better by the day. Back to the grindstone.....arghh.

Great report, Rich

And I'm glad to hear Sophie's eye is better, hope the other one gets better with the treatment.

Had a scare this afternoon wife asked to go to e-room, with chest pains, preliminary diagnosis afib not heart attack, she doing ok now !
This should have been headlines! Glad she's alright. Anxiety can compound the situation. Prayers.

The Johnson and Johnson vaccine works different than the other 2. they say 85% effective. You would do well to do some research on it.

A great friend is coming up to visit today. He bought a used Kitco Water Reel, and our local Ace Hardware is the closest authorized dealer. He needs some parts, and to pick their brain for operation. He's going to hopefully use it to water his hayfields.

About twice a year, I get scratchy eyes, and they seem to have "grit" in them. When I rub them, I sometimes burst a little vessel, and it makes my eye look ugly, with the white area being blood red. Happened again last night. No pain, just a week to heal.

Ron, what did you get for a new PC? I have been looking at DellRefurbished.com deals. I could use a better laptop, and a newer PC.....it's always something.... ;)

Prayers for our team, and for our country.

heading to car this morning the snowstorm intensified, great big flakes coming down, end of system, very pretty and
not hard to drive in. Thankfully did not get behind any creepers. Audi with snow rated tires let me drive at 35mph on covered side roads very safely.
Main roads were wet and heavily salted.

local hospital processed me easily and in friendly manner, and they seemed excited to be part
of a solution for all of us. After a month of this they may be singing a different tune,
but at least half the folks helping out this morning were volunteers.
My next older brother who lives in the same town is quietly annoyed he hasn't been called yet.
I mean if they were working through the local AUG's...not too many of us. ;)
I think it's because I was treated for cancer in the last year I got bumped up, but who knows.

Fed the birds when I got home, now for what I've been procrastinating with, the ever growing pile of paper that needs to be organized and filed in the office.
I keep looking for the office fairy but so far she eludes me.
