Congrats Don.
Wife and I got email from medical center saying to be patient, they are concentrating on 75+ and will get to us eventually as vaccine becomes available. Don’t call, being registered we have a place in line.

Tonight’s news said about 50% have been administered in the state.

24 right now...looks like we got about an inch of snow overnight. High today in the mid-upper 30's...more snow showers this afternoon.

Vacation day for me...doctor's appointment at 1100 (nothing special...just a follow-up). I do want to get some work done...so I'll sacrifice a couple hours of vacation to the company.
I do need to get more ice melt and, since I'll be up that way, a case of beer

Poured first cup of coffee. 29° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 28° with cloudy skies. Shopping went well. My aunt went shopping and spent the day with me. Always a good time with her. Not sure what I will get into today. Maybe a conserve energy day.

RS, anyone that is 65 and older should be looking to get the shots. I was given a 6 page document to read when I signed in Wednesday. The important item that I was asked for the 4th time. Was, have you ever had a bad reaction to a vaccination of any type. My answer was other than a sore spot for a day. NO. Today I cannot tell I had the shot.

David, my Amazon orders have be coming in less than 2 days. Had a order that made in the morning arrive in late afternoon same day. This week. Sure makes a difference when they have a new distribution center 2 miles from my home. 50% of available shots or people?

Alien, good to here that there is a way to stop the spread of virus.

Roy, good luck at Dr.

Don, glad you got appointment for shot.

Thomas, I bake Pillsbury Cinnamon roll every 8 days. Throw icing away. I try to stay away from anything with to much sugar. I was like you toast or E-Muffin with something spread on it for years.

PJ, I agree. No political.

RNG, I guess we do not need pictures until all pallets have been modified. Be careful.

Randy, glad you have an appointment for shots.

Buckeye, hope everyone gets better from Covid. Prayers for brother.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Good morning and good to hear so many of you are now getting vaccinated. With that can-do attitude that America is famous for, I certainly wouldn't bet against the target of 1 million jabs a day being surpassed.

In the UK just over 7% of the total population have so far been vaccinated. They are working down through the age groups, most areas are getting to the end of those over 80, some started this week on those over 75. We get a letter from our public health service as we become eligible, at 65 I don't expect to get that call up for a jab until late February.

RNG, at least all that firewood unstacking and restacking is giving you plenty of exercise in your new containerised pallet truck inspired home gym.:) Do you leave a get-out-of-jail hammer and chisel in there in case the doors ever got closed with you inside ?

LS, the "small pond" in the pic I posted yesterday is a flooded hay meadow, sheep were sensibly keeping to the high ground.

Eric, does your new radio require line-of-sight to work?
LoRa requires line of sight when pushed to limits, which is often said to be around 12 miles. That seems not so critical at shorter distances, however I don't have enough experience yet to quantify that. I have just finished some logging software to record the received signal strength and detect any missed packets.

Ken, take care working under those ash trees

Wngsprd, I'm keeping an eye open for a roaster sometime in the future. Are the turning drum roasters the way to go for an even roast.

Hooray! Don's gonna roast coffee. I think you are right to look at drum roasters to get the most control over the roast and best tasting coffee.

28 outside. Heading to lower 50's today. Was really nice yesterday. So I just sat back most of the day. Likewise today.

Watched the surveyors do their thing, might need to call them back for a boundary survey when things settle down. They said we have nothing current on record. I knew that already, and had no long term issues or plans that may have involved plat stuff. Our lot is pretty easy, abutting neighbor (1), creek (1), front road (1). LOL.

Will work on the firewood pile today and just putz around.

Alien, my daughter was in your country when you went on the first lockdown, she was amazed at the no nonsense, all-in approach. Her belongings are still there, and she hope to reunite with them soon. She could not get permission to travel for reclaiming her stuff.

Buckeye, know what you mean about entertaining a move. Especially so after years of building a place up. I have to laugh at my situation, we were oh-so close to buying elsewhere for another escape place. That money went to crap, literally. LOL.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe and stay healthy.

Good morning, the temperature is 10ーF and the high will be 12. Wind NW 8 mph. 60% chance of flurries.

I am out of here at 07:30 this morning and get my new front chains and get them installed. I will pay in pain for doing that on a cold day, but I NEED those chains on.
That is my day mapped out for you.

Be safe all

A nice clear sky full of stars outside and 32 going to 58...almost too hot.

Don, wonderful news about your shot. Hope your wife got one, too. You've been working so hard on it. I love my state and am proud of it...and we have been spoiled in performing well in most areas. Not so on the vaccines...ranked 49th. I listened to our state health department Dr. in charge on a special tv segment last week...seemed like a real nice guy, but he was saying that he'd been in the job a week and was looking forward to creating a plan for administering the vaccines. What, just now starting a plan? Maybe he misspoke. Hope so.

BR-549...great country western band.

BEF - TN sounds like a great place to retire. Sorry about your friend's dad.

Ron - why every 8 days?

Cut down a couple more trees and split and stacked on one of my pallets...Mostly, the splitter started on 2nd pull. yippee. One tree was a big aspen...not great firewood, but had died and was leaning over my trail. It was really wet, and had a big woodpecker hole near the top. Sorry, but many other choices back there in the woods.

Took my wife on a cheap date last night...we walked outside and watched the space station fly over for five minutes soon after dark. Second time we've gone out and watched it this week...this time in a completely different part of the sky. Glad I signed up for their email notification...tells when, where, and for how long.
