Operation Warp speed hit tonight when I got the call at 6:20PM. At 7:20PM I was back at home vaccinated. :thumbsup:

My oldest son is trying to get permission to work 100% from home. If approved he wants to move to TN.
Got me wanting to retire and move to TN also. Told the wife will be hard moving after building this place. Right now just a dream.
My brother is home from hospital, but still not feeling great. My sister went home, so my brother has no one to help him. My youngest brother has COVID symptoms.
Friends Dad died of COVID this morning. Been in hospital long time. His mother and sister have it also. Shots can’t come quick enough. I might fit the 1c category for manufacturing.

Good evening all. 44F for the start, .2 inch in rain gauge overcast, light breeze. Overcast all day, light wind, and high temp was 54F. Cleaned and groomed ashes, then puttered, got signed up for another vaccine list. Bike ride and nap in afternoon, fish club tonight. Had dinner with one of the chapel preachers, delightful conversation.
Covid update: Cooke 2633 confirmed cases, 147 active cases, Montague 1507 confirmed cases, 47 active cases, Grayson, 9167 confirmed cases, 584 active cases, local 18 active cases (unchanged).

Drew if you live in a less populated county, they are likely having trouble getting vaccine. Cooke county has not gotten enough vaccine to do the 1-a's yet. I am 1-b.

Overseas tennis players were quarrantined for 2 weeks on arrival in Oz. One was whining about it and wanted out to practice and claimed it was unfair to be locked in quarrantine. Turns out she has tested positive to covid so that shut her up.
She has now deleted her whining from social media.

Chris, Amazon does use the post office - sorta.
Since breaking with Fedex/UPS and establishing their own our Prime has been a mess.
Whereas I would see an item leave the warehouse usually quickly not so anymore. I get a message stating to expect delivery usually in week 10 days. Seems like it gets shipped the day before that earliest delivery date. Makes it to Honolulu in 1-3 days, then the wait begins. That next step is via USPS. I may or may not get tracking that it left the Amazon facility. All to often it takes a detour to a PO 25 miles North and has to be sent back to Honolulu. Sometimes I do see tracking that it left Honolulu, but most often if I go to PO that day it won’t be available. Part of issue is the PO tracking doesn’t get updated until our small PO is closed. Would usually be faster to ship small items directly via USPS instead of just “last mile”.

My take would be Mr Bezos didn’t offer to help earlier because his current offer is one that will come with compensation to improve his broken system.

Glad to read about all you others with great delivery. Perhaps there is hope
