well what goes up must come down...
inside Christmas stuff packed away, taking a break from 7 trips up and down
cellar steps. Now headed outside on a grey and cold day to take down the outside lights.
Need to find the right size box to put them in, but no matter how careful I am they
will surely be snarled in a knot when I go to use them next. I do unintentional knots a lot better
than intentional ones.

Going to close my quicken books on 2020.
Did get several more DVDs converted last night. Got my first vhs camera in 1985. Wasn’t a cam corder, was a camera you hook up to a portable vhs deck. Still have it. Had camcorder by 1988, When we went to Alaska. Working on converting those now.
Had to reboot computer 1 more time yesterday, new computer comes Monday. Son’s screen acting up on his computer, new one might be his, should order another while on sale. Dell 15” I7 w/ 1 TB ssd and gaming graphic card.

My stimulus showed pending in my account last night. Even trade for the computer.

Ours shows as "Pending," also. So Don, it will be a 2021 event.

Most of the fireworks I heard last night were around 7pm...maybe celebrating British New Years? I stayed awake until about 11:45pm, and then my wife woke me with 15 seconds to go...so saw the countdown on TV and kissed in the new year before fading out again.

I got sleepy early, VERY early, yesterday evening, and went to bed. We were getting a little drizzling rain. My wife stayed up and said we had a downpour, the electricity went off twice, but back on quickly. So this morning I went out and poured about 1.85" of rain out of the gauge. And the rain had blow in from the north halfway across the patio/deck.

Last night was the second night since getting the Moderna covid-19 vaccine and my arm was more sore last night than it has been, but no visible problem and today the soreness seems to be getting better. So . . . it appears that the most soreness and discomfort is 2 days after the vaccination. BUT it's ALL relatively mild; not a problem.

And as with others, my bank account has for a couple of days shown the stimulus pending; shows that it'll be deposited on the 4th of January.

Happy New Years-
We did a Zoom new years last night, was fun but not the same as going visiting for sure.
Lots of fireworks going off here, followed by lots of shooting this morning-I guess many of the hunters did not stay up late and slept through the fireworks?

Drew - We have been on the New Hope train many times. The staff there is great at maintaining the trains and tracks-they all really love their jobs.
DFTodd - Some perfumes choke me, I hate going into some stores like Macy's as they seem to disperse perfume around the whole store. Sorry to hear about the wifes multi-shift and forced volunteerism.

You and me both. This year (2020) so far I haven't had to roll up the loonies and toonies in my piggy bank to meet the bills. It sure is a nice feeling.:cool2:
