Pulling down 2nd tree, (first was much larger, but more rotted).

This one made for some pretty good firewood, Don's little electric splitter had trouble with the big rounds....It did surprise me and split some of them. I had to pull out the big maul with the pink handle.

On the really tough/big ones just cut a starter notch on the end about 4" deep before you put them in the splitter. I had to do this to about 5% of the rounds.

Son burned up all my premix in his mini bike. I went and got some more gas later. I was tuckered out.

Just went for a walk and happy not to see any skunks or other critters.

Went for a hike yesterday...busiest I've ever seen this trail...counted 44 people (lots of kids) and 11 dogs. The best was a German shepherd wearing dark shaded ski goggles...owner said he was getting the dog used to them since he would wear them boarding helicopters, and they keep debris out of the eyes. He was also wearing a military backpack.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 33ｰ with rain this morning. Heading to 37ｰ with wind. Decided to a final cleanup of cellar yesterday. Got about 90% of it done. Was much more work than I planned. Still sore today. Maybe that conserve energy day that I had planned for yesterday will be today.

Good morning, the temperature is 24ｰF and going up to 27. Wind E 9 mph. Snow! A snowfall warning is in effect. Why? I do not know the forecast is only 6".

I've got 2" of fresh snow right now, but I wont go to plow until sometime after noon, maybe.

Never did get my company laptop out of the truck yesterday...since we'll make a store run sometime today, I'll bring it (the laptop) in today.
I've been doing some research on back-up cameras...thinking about adding one to the tractor...in fact, I started a thread:

Got sidetracked yesterday wife and I went to Blacksburg looked at job we have to do ate lunch at the Farmhouse then rode up 77 thru Big Walker Tunnel up to Princeton then to 64 Lexington then home long afternoon

I have one but it’s still in the box, I don’t have a cab but it’s a strain looking back and down. Mine can be wireless if I want, it’s got the transmitter and receiver but some negative reviews wireless, so I’m probably going to hardwire it.

Good morning, we had a sprinkling of snow first thing, which looked good for a while, now most of it has turned into a slushy and almost transparent soggy coating.

Kyle, toppling that dead oak looked very satisfying. Is there a reason for two to die so close together ?
