Good Morning!!!! 50F @ 4:15AM. Chance of a shower or two during the morning, followed by partly cloudy skies this afternoon. High 56F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 40%.
That tree came down nicely, Kyle. Have to admit I was cringing the whole time I was watching that video, envisioning the strap breaking and coming back through the lens.
We sure have some great cooks on this thread. I'm not one of 'em. I've spent the last three days applying Easy Off oven cleaner to the remnants of oatmeal burned onto a bowl by a run away microwave. So far, the oatmeal is winning, and the house still smells like something bad was on fire inside.
Ron, you have some of the best fed squirrels I've ever seen!
Sounds like you had lots of company on your hike, Bill. Think the German Shepard belonged to some sort of special forces operator?
Read about a new strain of CoVid this morning, first detected in England, that is much more contagious than the original. We're starting to see cases of it in the US now, too, but at least the vaccine is supposed to work on it, also.
Started in on disassembling another steel pallet yesterday afternoon, and got it all taken apart and cut into pieces for two new firewood pallets. Spent more time with the mini-bandsaw and less with the zip blades on the small grinder, cutting out sections where the tubes were welded instead of cutting apart the welds themselves, which saved a lot of time.
Got a friend coming up this morning to help disassemble a transmission on the white BMW, and install a circlip on one of the shafts. Gertag, makers of the transmission, left out the circlip during a ten year span of production, and that let a bearing migrate on the shaft, causing premature bearing failure. The plan is to leave the gears installed on the shaft and somehow cut the groove for the circlip. I have cutters the correct width, just not sure there'll be enough clearance with the bearing in place.
Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!
