Good morning all

24 now high in the upper 40’s and partly sunny today.
The latest drought monitoring puts us at severe instead of extreme, at least it’s in the right direction. A fair portion of the state shows no drought or only abnormally dry.

Garden shed cleaning went well, it was a fairly nice day out yesterday. I texted the garden club about taking some of the pot collection they will be happy to have them for their spring plant sale. I’ll drop them off tomorrow.

No plans for today just putter around and play pick up sticks now they aren’t frozen to the ground.

10 to 25 cm of snow is expected this weekend.

Hazards:
10 to 25 cm (4-10") of snow [I translated it from that forin stuff)
Poor road conditions due to accumulating snow. it is a real juggling act to clear off the snow and ice AND not waste the salt. Been there, done that.

Timing:
Snow will begin Saturday morning and last into Sunday. The heaviest snow is expected Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning.

Discussion:
This snow is a result of an approaching Texas low that will spread precipitation across a large portion of southern Ontario and parts of northeastern Ontario beginning Friday overnight. Colorado has been taking the blame for our big snows, so now they will blame Texas for a change.

Good evening! It got to 75° this afternoon and now 61° which may be our low tonight.

Grand Daughter (Texas State Freshman) texted me Tuesday afternoon and said she had a short break in her finals .. could she come to the Ranch .. for some "fresh air". Madison got here about 4 p.m. Tuesday and we hopped in the truck .. to head to Columbus for supplies .. for her favorite meals.

Maddie said our spaghetti was her favorite but .. since we had a late start .. Tuesday dinner would be tacos and spaghetti / Texas Toast for Wednesday dinner. Waffles and bacon for Wednesday breakfast and lunch at the Dairy Cone in Columbus.

This was first time she's been back at the ranch .. since we got the new 2021 Polaris Ranger so .. she had a great time touring in "her" new Ranger. .

We built fires in the fire pit Tuesday and Wednesday night and we had a great time visiting, looking at all the stars, and playing music on the East porch / patio.

Maddie left late morning and texted me, when she got back to San Marcos, that she appreciated the break and was ready for her last two finals.

Back to work .. tomorrow!

Drinking first cup of coffee. 27ｰ with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 49ｰ with cloudy skies. No Norther Light last night or this morning. Clouds. Did get one storage item emptied. Large steamer truck. Lot of small stuff to do today. Plus wait for furnace guy to come out.
Today is both a sad and Happy day. Wife would have been 80 today. GGD is 1 year old today.
Got drone out and did a short fly. My place from 100' up. It is fast compared to my old one. Over 40 mph.

Kyle, good news on the Steiner. Sassy very seldom barks. I think she is afraid of the noise it makes.

David, great action video. My Muffin would wake up from a nap when we got about 1 mile from home. After being gone for 5 months. Sassy does not care. Falls asleep with 1 miles in car.

Mostly, be careful out riding bike. Bad accident in Nevada yesterday.

Rick, time with Grandkids are the best.
