Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #121,721
46F and sunny @ 11:00, headed up to a high of 54F.

Heard from a relative last night. The mother of the guy their son works for just died of COVID-19, after only being sick for two weeks. That son's wife knows two people with it - one is currently in the ICU, the other is still sick but recovering.

Governor Dewine held a primetime news conference yesterday announcing that he would be taking further steps:

Gov. DeWine announces major changes need to be made to prevent the spread of COVID-19

Please be safe and keep up your guard.

Not much on agenda for today specifically ... do need to refill tube feeders though.

Probably see what I can get into outside while the weather is still halfway decent.

No shortage of stuff to do there.

Then some inside work.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

It was a pretty good blow to the ego to have an old man out power walking cruise on past us

It is amazing how we adapt.... now when I go to the "low flat lands".... it feels to me that the air is "soooo heavy".... like soup...

Don, save some of those delicious looking socks for me..... If I leave now, I can be there late this evening...

I did get out to the shop this morning, got the remaining pieces / parts assembled. Filled the nail holes and will do a quick touch up sanding this afternoon. We have an appointment at 12:30, so depending on how long it takes will determine how much shop time I get.

Here is a few progress pics of the assembled unit:

Two other pluses from coming from high elevation. You can smoke flatlanders in a foot race. And drink them under the table.

About 4.25” of rain in just under 24 hours, several areas around us are over 6” one place is 6.5”. Not as much flooding as I expected so far.

You guys that fly your flags 24/7, what kind of lights do you use?
I have solar lights that I got years ago when I installed the flagpole, not happy with the light though. I have twin flood lights on opposite corners of the house, I’ve thought of adding a third fixture on the northwest corner and shine it on the flag, but I don’t want to interfere with drivers in the road. I have flag set at 20’ so I’m not sure it matters.

We have a pole mounted solar LED light on ours, and I've never been really happy with it either. Before I was married, one of my old neighbors had three can lights mounted at the base of his pole, running on low voltage power. I've been thinking about looking in that direction.

Yep... forgot about that aspect! We can also hold our breath longer....

I have a landscape spot light fixture with MR 16 led 12 volt ac 7 watt 5k brightness spotlight. I bought some 15° leds a few years ago. Cannot find them recently. So I used some 2” pvc to make a extension to light assembly. This sends light to flag in a small circle. Spot light is placed on side of garden pond waterfall mound.
