84 degrees this afternoon and I just finished mowing the yard. I prefer mowing very early in the mornings, but we're having dew on the grass and it's gone by 2 p.m., so I mowed in spite of the heat.
Does anyone else on TBN have a Reverse Mortgage? We went with a Reverse Mortgage 6 years ago, when we only had enough equity in this place to get less than $4,000 cash, but of course we quit making payments. However, the mortgage company recently sent me a letter about some changes available and asking if we wanted to redo our Reverse Mortgage. We've been involved with the change for about a month now, but got the final notice that it's all done. We went from a fixed 5% mortgage to variable rate, currently just over 2.5% and today they deposited a little more than $14,000 in our bank account. Things are always changing, of course. Six years ago, a lady came to the house and she did all the paperwork for us, but we went just south of the middle of Ft. Worth for the closing. This time, two different Notaries (one male and one female) came to the house to do different kinds of paperwork. Before we were given a long list of appraisers for us to pick the one we wanted to do the appraisal. This time, they just sent one; happened to be a female retired school teacher who lives in the area. Anyway, after about a month and only about one ream of paper, we're done.
