Good Morning!!!! 64F @ 5:30AM. Sunny. High 93F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Air quality as overall improved in the past 24 hours, dropping into the 40s overnight, but now bouncing back up into the hundreds. Sure beats the 300+ of a couple days ago, though.
Eric, I can only imagine where you're the bluest, seeing as how backpack sprayers fit on your back, and above your keester...
You guys are killin' me again with yer gas and fuel prices. Both are at least a dollar higher out here.:hissyfit:
I used to dread August and September's allergy season back east, Ron. It was like having a miserable cold for two months running. Halloween was my favorite holiday, not for the trick'or'treating, but for the frost that killed the ragweed.
The
M62 is within a few hours of its 200 hour service, and the oil and filters have been taking up space in the garage for months now. Looking forward to some seat time and then the big oil and filters change.
Good to see you making plans for the near future, Drew, and hope you continue your steady climb back to good health. Hope the A/C stands up to the heat wave.
That's a LOT of rain, Bird. Has another tropical depression come to visit?
Clean, dry compressed air doesn't come cheap, does it, Kyle? What kills me is how the local TV newscasters try to cover national and even international news. That's not why we watch local news, is it?:confused2:
Over a hundred new CV19 cases were reported here yesterday, Bruce, a new record for the county. Just last week it looked like the infection rate was slowing down, but that's clearly not the case...
Hope you got some good news at the doc's, Randy.
You win another EverReady award, RS. You and the missus both!
No shortage of ways hard work is also hard on your back, David. Hope you can put it off long enough to get over the hump.
Had to look up how to roast chilies yesterday, as I'd always cheated with frozen. Instructions said to grill them until they were black and blistered, something the Blaze BBQ is really good at. I found out why after they cooled off enough to peel 'em. The heat turns the peel into an onion skin like substance that sloughs off the chili easily, leaving behind a soft, almost mushy, pepper. Only took a few bumps of the chop button on the food processor to get a nice texture, with a nice spicy heat and good green chili flavor. All that work for only 24 oz. of goodness though. Wish I could get frozen out here...
Made some measurements on the solar rack, then made up a scale drawing that I think shows room for another column of panels. Dashed off another note to the contractor asking to buy four more, and actually got a reply. Though I thought he told me that the meter they plan to install in the solar equipment was in, now he says it's been discontinued and they're having problems sourcing one. So that's part of the reason for the delay. No mention of the punch list, though...
Used some of the old Ethernet cable to make up a new line for the office video camera, and when I used the new meter to check it, found three leads shorted together. They were all in the correct order, but when I looked at the ends under high magnification, I could see how some of the strands had bridged over, causing the shorts. I thought the holes in the connectors were blind, but apparently that's not the case. But that's probably why solid wire was recommended for the new spool. Cut that connector off and made very sure to make a clean cut on the next try, and it came out fine. Live and learn...
No sign of the oscilloscope yesterday, and the status message at UPS told me they'd delivered it, to the USPS. I guess Amazon didn't figure that move into their delivery forecast.
At least the FedEx tracker is predicting the valve body will arrive at the Oregon Kubota dealer today. :crossfingers:
What day is it? It's hUMp day!!!
