successful morning.
Did my good deed first, next door rv neighbor hailed me down, said she was out of gas and could I take her to gas station.
Got a mask? Oh yes. Ok, so that took ten minutes and I had plenty of time.
Then off to Food Lion, Entemann's donuts two for one, yes, and got two boxes of assorted.
One went to registration desk at cancer center, second one to infusion center where I got my shot after waiting only ten minutes.
I was two hours early for appt and asked them to fit me in, and they were all smiles...but then I was told ahead of time I could come "any time".

Looks like it will cloud up today in front of the storm, which will come in tomorrow, so far not much rain predicted, mostly going into Virginia and North.

Don take it easy in the heat, you are doing a lot of manual physical labor, good for waistline but pace yourself.

really muggy out and unpleasant. A/c is cranked up and I'll try to stay busy doing something.
Have a nice Friday guys

Good morning all 71 going to 88 and sunny
Big storms came though last night, but only a sprinkling of rain, ground is super dry

Phil, nice work on the floors.
M7040, Vegas is hot during the summer :) I think furnace comes to mind. At least it's not humid, though burning your hand on a car door handle feels just as bad.

I keep digging under shed for pool line, it t's off about 5 feet from where I am- only 5 feet more to go as where I thought it broke-looks just fine :-(

Stay safe and be well

Good morning to all! Guess what? Yep, no changes to the weather. Severe drought area keeps expanding, now "exceptional" drought areas growing too. By this time of year, we normally have a year to date total of rain around 8 inches.... we are just over half of that. Not good! At least some of the smoke is clearing out, maybe just half as bad now.

Drew, did you grab one of those donuts? I would find it very hard not to.... I am glad to hear that you are doing well. Any further info on a house up in PA.?

Ron, I have been attempting to capture a hummingbird pic with my IPad..... no luck so far... Thanks for sharing yours.

Roy, glad to hear that the audit is almost over.... I bet you are ....

Ken, I hope you find the leak soon! Did the leak ever make its way to the surface?

Rng, good luck with running / fixing the ethernet cable.

Yesterday I got all the metal cut and welded together for the fuel transfer cart.... well, I thought I did.... after putting away the welder and cutting tools, I realized that I needed two hose brackets.... not just one.... so this morning I will cut that one and get it welded on, then paint it. Didn't get any pics yesterday, but will today.

I have been procrastinating about doing the last run of drip irrigation out to an existing landscape bed. That bed does have all the irrigation drippers in place, but the feed / supply line is still connected to the old house. The reason for the procrastination is because the new line has to cross 100 ft of stone driveway..... so it has to be trenched by hand with a pick and trenching shovel.

With that in mind, I realized something else that I procrastinated on and truth be told, forgot all about..... the power going out to the garage / shop is also connected to the old house.... it will have basically the same route as the irrigation line, so a 100' second trench needs to be done.... I am kicking myself in the rear end right now.... no rush to get the electric one done, so might wait for cooler weather to do it.

Gonna get movin'.... everyone have a great day!

Thought since going to rain and I was going to get wet power washing house and garage why not go do it. Then the lightening started. Back in the house.

RNG, yes I do have multi shot settings. I have been playing with finding settings that will capture with one click. Camera is on a tripod with a remote trigger.

Ted, I'm trying to be really good avoiding extra sugar, been told repeatedly cancer love sugar... so no, plus opened boxes of food would be looked at skeptically...but Entemann's really are the
best. Crispy Creme donuts are favorites around here, I think they should have a diabetes warning label on them...
Going to call landlord today to make sure current tenants are leaving Solebury house on time.
Hope you get some more rain, we get 5-7 inches a month here, wish we could share...

Good morning. It was 80° this morning, already 86° and will get too 99°, maybe 100° this afternoon. It looks like at least of week of this hot weather / no rain.

The two GOM Hurricanes did little for us here. No rain and no wind. We're now under a burn ban as well.

Did a good deed for my neighbor who's rebuilding his ranch entrance. I put my tree / post puller on the LS 55 hp tractor to go pull all his existing posts. He was going to just burn all the old posts and fence boards nearby in a nice open clearing. I had my finish mower on the rear so .. I offered to mow a clearing for his burn pile. I didn't see it and managed to hit an old piece of hog fence in the weeds and tall grass. (the previous owner was a slob who left stuff like this everywhere). With the cab and radio .. I didn't hear it happen. It wrapped around two of the three blades and quickly shredded the drive belt. As they say .. no good deed will go unpunished .. for long.

I need to call my dealer to see if he has the correct dimensions for the belt as I'm thinking of going with a Kevlar reenforced belt this time.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Prayers to all

LS - no leak never surfaced, which is why I think it's under cement with all that rock to contain it.
Seems like everyone is hand digging this week. We will all be like body builders before the winter sets in ( ok, maybe I won't look like a body builder, well ever).

80F and mostly cloudy @ 11:00, high predicted to only reach 83F today so a lot cooler than yesterday.

More thunderstorms are on tap, possibly heavy ... currently there is a large area of storms to the north along a front and movement seems to be mostly from the west to the east.

Moved hose around to the big rhododendron last evening and turned it on. The nozzle is "closed" ... but it doesn't really seal completely, so it has provided a slow trickle overnight.

Will probably try and get the lawn around the house mowed today ... if the rain holds off long enough. Should be a lot more comfortable mowing now that the ground isn't dry and hard as a rock. Other than that, looks like working outside today will be a bust ...

May make the run to Menards to pick up the pallet of cap stone.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...
