Drew - if it gets bad, do either of the sites have a solid building to get to, just in case ?

no buildings here at all...
place I am going to move to for a couple days has an office
so far forecast is 40mph winds in Washington to the East, 30mph winds here in Greenville, and 27
mph winds in Wilson. So not accomplishing too much but at least that campground fills propane tanks which
I really need done. And they have a laundry too... It's only an hour drive West but hope it will be enough.

My next chemo was rescheduled for next Wednesday so I have to drive back Tuesday afternoon no matter what and
looks like heavy rain predicted. At least it's major roads and I can go slow.

67°F and .17 inches rain.

Looks like I could potentially get this round of mowing finished up today, finally. Geesh , I can see the grass in the outer areas beginning to wave at me

Seeing some dramatic COVID increases statewide this past week, but fortunately not on our Island. Think we are down to 1 active case.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

I talked with the Covid19 next door neighbors today. Yes both their second test on July 2 came back positive (they are in their late 70s). Neither were hospitalized. His lasted 10 days and really wore him out but no fever or difficulty breathing. Hers lasted 3 days and was non eventful. They have subsequently been tested for the virus antibodies and both have them. So they are good to go and are active again.

Our death rate is going down significantly because now they are going by the cause of death on the death certificate not if the person dies and had covid.
Texas officials alter the way COVID-19 deaths are collected and reported

Clouds are rolling in and the weather station is starting it's alerting ever decreasing distance of lightning, but still 10-12 miles away.

Ken, I think a cinder block and a baking tin will do the job.

well...hurricane forecast not looking so good, almost looks like it's coming over my head on Monday. Not good in a small camper.
So being cautious I reserved a site in a rv campground 45 miles West of here and asked for a site not near trees.
At 35 bucks a night it's cheap insurance, even if storm stays further out to sea and I don't go.
Plus they have a propane fill station there and that will be the first thing I do on Sunday when I arrive is get the tank filled
in case they lose power. Also going to pick up another couple pairs of wheel chocks tomorrow at TSC.

Ron, if it gets bad, should I pull the slide in??? would make for a very short bed...

Many years ago, we were living in a 40' Bounder motorhome and traveling for me to do gas leakage surveys, which meant walking along gas lines all day every day. One night when we were Amarillo, TX, I had gotten home, showered, and had eaten supper when the TV news said a bad storm was coming. So my wife was afraid of being caught in a storm in the motorhome and the park had a nice building, office, restrooms, TV, etc. so she said she was going down there. Well . . . it did get pretty windy, but of course I had the awning up, so no problem, except for that motorhome rocking a bit. But after it blew over and my wife came back to the motorhome, I learned that a bunch of people, including her, had gone into one of the restrooms for shelter, when the storm blew the roof off the building. No one was hurt, but they had a more exciting evening that I did sitting in our motorhome.

Great pic Ted! Another few tenths inches of rain today, most of it while I was on the tractor of course.

I got up to two trees down, no real wind so not sure what happened.

I separated them with the tractor and dragged them to the woods.

Drew, high winds and heavy rain would make me bring slides in. Mostly to avoid leaks. Only remember doing it a couple of times. My RV had slide toppers.

LS, sorry you got banged up.

No rain to speak of yet, for having a flood watch.
Might get some come Tuesday from the hurricane.
Shoulder getting little better, not as painful but hurts when I cough.
