good morning all
75 going to 95 today, a warm and sticky one again
I never did r/c planes but see the fun in it. Must be hard to spend dozens if not hundreds of hours in building some of them and then see
them crash. Probably why everyone starts out on the balsa wood or foam models to get seat time. There are some really huge r/c planes on Youtube.
I would not want to get hit by one if it malfunctioned.

after some dehydration problems yesterday with resulting dizziness, drinking Earl Grey decaf this morning instead of my normal coffee. I have lots of tea here so
easy to do, plus a water kettle. Doesn't wake me up the same for sure. Plus making sure I drink more plain water.

You folks in Texas and NM, be careful in the heat.

70 right now, and raining...nice gentle rain and good for the lawn. High about 80 today.

Drew
Plus making sure I drink more plain water.
Yep...part of my dizziness/vertigo was attributed to dehydration. I drink plenty of liquids, but some liquids (coffee, most alcoholic) are diuretics. One ends up urinating most out...
Never really liked drinking water...in the words attributed to W.C.Fields, "fish f**k in the water". But one has to do what's necessary to stay reasonably healthy

Well, finally got my haircut! Only one barber but no other customers. Also did my laundry (except for one skivey shirt I dropped while loading the washer). brought everything home to dry.

No particular plans today...watched a number of "Midsomer Murders" on Youtube...might watch more today

Poured first cup of coffee. 60° with a few clouds this morning. Heading to 80° with mix of sun and clouds. Got back field cut before it got real hot yesterday. Lawn needs cutting/trimming after doing some garden pond maintenance. Then back in to stay cool.
It was bath time at waterfall yesterday evening.

Kyle, I would use Rodent (wood Chuck/ground hog) picture for target practice.

RNG, "So much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood!". The one in picture lives under a pile of wood.

RS, great pictures.

David, you are welcome to come to my place and cleanup/reorganize. Maybe I would be able to find what I am looking for.

LS, some very nice planes in your collection. Thanks for pictures. I was about 75' away in Rodent picture. Blue on right of picture is out of focus birdhouse. How is your garden pond doing?

Drew, keeping hydrated is hard while being treated with meds. That's the kind of thing that assisted living helps with. Is Medicare/doctor going to provide you with a visiting nurse for awhile after you leave where you are now?

Riptides, do you have a lift for ceiling panels?

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

That's a lot of record keeping to beat the standard deduction. Thanks for the reference.

Assisted living is a large enough expense that your mom may save thousands on taxes if like my MIL...plus since it raises deductions above the standard deduction, it reengages all the other itemized deductions that get ignored within the standard deduction. Doesn't seem like that much record keeping since the assisted living provides a monthly bill, although I have spent a lot of time digging through her other "records" to find these other deductible medical care/prescriptions before she moved into it.

Good Morning it's 76F heading to 97F today and I took my air conditioned tractor in to be serviced over the next two weeks! Some things might have to be put off until it gets home!

Kyle, I did not know Uncle Fred but my best friend that went to be with the Lord about 4 years ago has 2 building full of Model plane stuff. I go into them a couple times a month just to make sure they are ok and no rodent activity. I have not flown since he past. It just is not the same for me anymore but many of fond memories hanging out and flying model planes!

67 going to 92...actually felt cool and pleasant outside before the sun came up. No clouds out, and only slight chance for a shower. :(

Ron, I'll pull that goldfinch in the waterfall pic back up when I come in from the heat this afternoon...just looking at it cools me off.

Beautiful flowers!

LS, real nice collection...it that a hovercraft in the back? That would be pretty cool. I got a chance to ride in a real one - the Navy's down in Pensacola and out to the gulf.

Yesterday's half a tenth of an inch of rain didn't keep the ground damp long while I was mowing. Got dusty in a hurry, so I left the frisbee field for later. Coco is improving in some respects, but Thursday's lab work shows anemia, so x-rays and ultrasound scheduled for Monday and Tuesday to see if cancer is at work, too. Seems like I'm spending a lot on her, but we all spend money on what we love.

So you deduct the entire Assisted living bill? You don't have to separate the health care from the non-health care activities/expenses?
