I had Rigid tools lifetime batteries but when I went to claim new batteries there was a problem. I ended up giving the set to goodwill. Like RNG you must read the fine print.
Then I had the problem with the EGO 3 year battery - again fine print excluded me because of the definition of an authorized dealer.

The limitations in the Rigid is that it must have been bought at Home Depot and you had to register them within 90 days of purchase and you must bring the equipment, to an authorized RIDGID service center, along with a few more requirements like have your Customer ID number and verification that the tool has been upgraded to Lifetime Service Agreement - Lifetime Service Agreement | RIDGID Professional Tools

Yep, did all of those requirements . All of them show up on the registered page online, and I have printed those out. Even all the batteries are registered. I have heard of people buying from eBay or private sellers and not having a warranty.

I just had to take in a reciprocating saw for warranty work. I was expecting them to say it was abuse or caused by misuse... nope. Repaired and returned no charge. I had worked that tool really hard.

I have not taken a battery back yet, so time will tell with that aspect.

Had a nice evening at neighbors 30th anniversary party.
Held outdoors. Great weather.
Kept my social distance best I could.
Blessed to have great neighbors.

Cat about the same, vet didn’t call to pick up antibiotic yet, hopefully tomorrow.

good morning all.
I could tell by a/c running temps had not gone down much last night, still at 76 degrees now, going up to 90 again. Normal summer here but not comfortable in afternoons for sure.

Buckeye, glad you had a good time and got to socialize a bit. Seems awfully hard to do these days.
Covid count in Washington,NC steadily increasing, not long ago it was in low 30's, now up to 74, no deaths. Big percentage increase, but still not terrible.
Pitt county, where I am now, has over 600 cases and 5 dead. But then the big hospital where all the really sick folks go is here. Just wonder what will happen when the multiple colleges in this town come back into session in a few months. No time to get complacent.

62 right now...high about 80 and a pretty good chance of thunderstorms and rain...I can do without the thunderstorms, but I sure welcome the rain...

Pretty good day yesterday....only things I didn't get done was the haircut and pick up the .300BLK rifle. One of the (two) barbers didn't show up to work and I didn't want to wait around....the NICS system was really slow and, after about 30 minutes of waiting, came back with a delay of approval until 02 July.

Neighbor bought a Kioti tractor. I'm not real familiar with Kioti's, but I think it's a CK2610 with a cab. Nice looking machine! Didn't get any pics as I was actually mowing at the time. I got part of the lawn that was mostly green and cut about an inch higher. The rest was too brown, even though it could use a trim

Today...just putter around outside until it rains...

Oh yeah...
My Woodmaxx 8h chipper is a great implement...but it came with the biggest PITA PTO driveshaft (the optional US made one) I've ever used. This is one of those with a ring you have to retract to get it on the tractor's PTO shaft. Just a real pain to connect...
Rant off...

Ah yes, Hunter Douglas. I priced a Hunter Douglas blind at a local shop. It seems HomeKit compatibility is only available in their top-of-the-line, to the tune of $3500 a pop.

I figger I can pull an awful lot of strings for 3500 bux...

A man of your means shouldn’t worry about a few thousand dollars! LOL
You can buy headrails all over the internet, you don’t have to have Hunter Douglas or remote control. I installed a lot of them in rich peoples homes but I didn’t use them, and I got them wholesale.

Good morning all. A nice dull day ahead, at 16C/60F it should be perfect for getting on with outside jobs.

It will soon be time to put the pasture topper on the Iseki and chop down the Canada thistle before it can set seed. Yesterday I noticed that many of the stems are coated in blackfly. It will be interesting to see if their sap sucking has any significant effect on the thistles before the flower buds open. There are lots of ladybird beetles (aka ladybugs) around, so there is a chance their offspring's insatiable appetite will come to the thistle's rescue. That would please my wife as she doesn't want the blackfly visiting her vegetable beds. She is growing nasturtium flowers as a diversion, which in the past blackfly seem to prefer.

...Took Sassy with me. The little dog took off with his wife. Following her around yard responding to all commands while weeding and watering gardens that I have worked hard training her for months. Maybe I should stop calling Rat Dog. Then she will respond like she did for her.
Ron, I'm sure Sassy knows "rat dog" is only a term of endearment. Our Max would consider that name an honour

My son is motivated to make some money to buy a video game. I'm pushing him fairly hard. We sharpened the rider's blades, got out and mowed a few acres. We went and got haircuts, some tractor hydraulic oil, gasoline....
Kyle, I'm sure he will appreciate the game all the more for buying it with money he has earned.

Might be my imagination, but sure smells like a camel outside.
Wng, look forward to seeing the next trailcam pics - one hump or two ? :)

Not too "Instant," huh? Is there a provision in your state for a certain long delay making the NICS check unnecessary?
