The TSC corporate world either does not care, or truly does not know what is happening in their stores.

The store local to us rarely has the seasonal things in stock after they sell the initial stocking. The hardware bins are usually half empty, along with the tool section. The staff is rude and do not really know anything more than working a register. They blame all the shortages on shipping / warehouse problems.....

If I travel over an hour away, across 2 other counties, there is a store that is night and day different! Always stocked, helpful knowledgeable staff, and well organized. This store always have trucks parked waiting to be unloaded. Unfortunately, I rarely get a chance to go to this store.

When our local store opened, it was good. They changed management and the place went downhill.... I have been waiting...and hoping for another management change. It has been a couple years already, so probably not going to happen anytime soon. Really a shame, I hardly go there anymore.

Drew, we’ll happily take your “overly wordy” self.
Glad you were able to have such great help, you surely earned it along the way. Disappointing about the buyer, hopefully he’ll come to know the error of his ways.

I have jokingly told the wifey we are going to take a road trip to Menards when we are pricing materials for our projects. They have unbelievable prices on things compared to our stores out here! Along with Rural King. They have good prices too.

The closest Menards to us is in Kansas, only 421 miles away .... the closest Rural King is in Missouri ... only 865 miles away

By the time I pay for fuel, I would break even... the thought of a nice road trip is nice though...

Thanks for all the great thoughts, guys.
We truly do live the Hawaiian vacation compared to Honolulu etc. i was somewhat dreading the trip before Governor lifted the inter island travel restriction as I suspected we were only allowed to travel between airport, hotel, and hospital. Restrictions lifted and we only added in places to eat and staid in hotel anyway. Put 26 miles on the rental car.

I / we got the flooring done in the hobby shack! It was much easier and faster than I thought it was going to be. I even got the electric finished out (except for the ceiling fan which is ordered). Since I have the tools out, I am going to start on the trim.

89F and partly cloudy, humidity 62%, "feels like" 90 ... and I'm soaking wet.

Got pallet of shelving moved to back and unloaded, also moved the sawhorses around back and brought inside.

Took down the large bird feeder while I was back there. Did not get stung ...

Van unloaded up at shop, quick inventory of FF couplers taken.

Grease gun reloaded, all 17 grease fittings on the MMM greased, hydraulic fluid in the B2910 topped off. (Just remembered there's one more grease fitting that I didn't get - the slide on the splined driveshaft ...)

Pallet forks removed, stump bucket moved up to the shop, box blade removed, bucket put on loader and loader removed.

Just need to clean up the old grease I pushed out and mount the MMM and it will be ready to go.

Taking a break to cool off and about to graze on some BLT's The Woman just whipped up ... which apparently are ready now ...

Floor looks nice Ted, ready for action.
David, glad you both are doing well.
RS, I miss the splined shaft too, always buried way down there, hard to see on mower. Well, no longer I guess...
Definitely a little quieter when I remember to get grease in there. Hope the BLT's were good.

drinking some "ginger aid" my sister sent me, little under the weather.

Decided to mow along creek, and as mowing decided to mow other side of the creek again as the weeds are getting tall. So going over I discovered the county had cut another huge tree along the road, and pushed the tops in a pile partly on my property. I had just cleaned out this area this spring.

I enter from the road just left of this pile, at least they left it open. The tree is cut in huge pieces to the left of the opening.

Weeds were real bad, mowed as high as deck goes, still hit some branches. I had picked them up this spring also.
Took picture of this mowing after going to house side of the creek.

Can’t get much closer to creek edge.

Kyle, your daughter is someone to be proud of!

Mid 80s and humid, big pop up storms all around and they all missed us, still dry as powder here.

Picked up Walmart order, went to church, visited FIL, got a visit from daughter’s family and gift certificate to my favorite New Orleans style BBQ place. I was hoping for rain before mowing but looks like it ain’t happening. Have a good evening folks.
