Good morning! 41˚F clear skies. My 2008 notebook died yesterday and I could only revive it with the original discs and now all the updates I did the last 12 years are not available so time to look for a new apple notebook. I also dropped my wife's iPad and cracked the screen yesterday and now face a 499 repaired or a 699 replacement, argh.

Rick, I could not see your pics.
Ron, pretty duck for a pretty pond, build it and they will come.
Roy, hope your back stops giving you grief.

Supplied Mom for another two weeks and had a zoom Easter get together with brother at her house using the phone as a hot spot.

“Rick, I could not see your pics.”

I can see all four on both iPhone and iPad?

Today's low of 46ºF occurred at midnight and has been slowly rising ever since. A rainy day to start and I expect the rain and the wind will be increasing as the day progresses. 52ºF presently; wind 15mph gusting to 27mph. I anticipate an afternoon high in the upper 50ºF's with a good chance for some T-storms. Excellent slogging conditions for the dog walk around the perimeter this AM.

David- Nice looking ham and spread.

Eric- Like Billy, I had to look up wagtails. Interesting birds. Thanks for sharing.

Roy- I am sorry to read about your fall. This weather is not helping with the aches & pains. I hope you mend quickly.

Lots of nasty weather out there today. I hope all impacted stay safe and sound.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Heavy rains starting, nasty weather headed in.
Roy, hope you feel better soon.
Buppies, 5 inches of rain is a whole lot more than they predicted. Wonder how much will come down here, coming
down in buckets now.
Let's all be safe out there.

I guess I don't quite understand the jargon, Ted. Are you shaving up and down, or parallel to the surface, top to bottom?

I went ahead, taking small cuts, working from top to bottom, figuring I'd be able to feel the resistance of a PVC conduit. Never felt one, never hit one, and now I'm four feet down following that dang electrical conduit. It's gotta turn upward sooner or later, so I just gotta decide whether to shave down or shave back...:confused3:

Worse comes to worst, the Honda generator still works fine, and I can do without grid power for quite a while with all the E0 I've got stashed. But careful digging seems the best course of action with all else that we're all dealing with, a bit of a treasure hunt, eh?

Once I got closer to the depth (or so I thought) I would shave parallel to the ground. When I was lower than the depth I knew it was at,(for sure at 3- 4 ft deep), I moved further back, starting the process over. (Taking bigger normal bites for the first 2-3 ft). Ended up doing this for almost 8 ft horizontally.... pipe was not crossing where I thought, but it was at the depth. Not a fast process at all.

Rick- Thanks for sharing. I am not having any problems with logging in to TBN, but a lot of attachments do not open and/or open slowly which I am blaming on available bandwidth.

60F here with some light rain. Winds supposed to pick up later after 11AM with high wind warning in effect ... temps will drop after the cold front arrives.

As Rich mentioned, the rest of this week will be cooler (below normal) ... along with the multiple opportunities for rain or snow.

And the grass will probably continue to grow ... :(

The one you dropped - is it Windows or Mac notebook ?

I also dropped my wife's iPad and cracked the screen yesterday and now face a 499 repaired or a 699 replacement, argh.

You might try getting a free estimate from Louie Rossmann - on iPhone screen replacement their prices are about 1/2 of what the Genius Bar charges.
