A mixed sun/cloud 19ºF for today’s low temperature. There has been increasing sunshine all morning with the daily high temperature having been 24ºF with occasional snow flurries associated with a weak cold front rolling through. A beautiful day here. Brogen scored big at the transfer station; the semi masticated dog biscuits are now part of the ambiance of the Tundra. I made air fried breaded camembert wedges to go along with the fresh fruit salad that I prepped this AM for lunch. Tonight I am making hot & sour soup to accompany the leftover Chinese food. The more I use the AF the more I like it. The mourning doves are getting friskier and the cardinals are singing. No avian early Spring visitors here yet.

Billy- I just read about the first COVID-19 death in the USA. :(

Drew- I am sorry to read about the nausea, but really happy to read about your “connection.” on going +’s.

Phil- I hope that you benefit from all the tests and intrusive measures. Good luck

Thomas- All Winter long I have been seeing digital monster nor’easters form and then disappear and in reality I usually end up with a mixed precipitation event. Another predominantly extended rain event on its way for NE this coming week.

I hope everyone is enjoying today and hopefully tomorrow as well.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Made a Sam’s Club run this morning, after our Saturday breakfast from the local country store. 40° windy and cold. Had a couple of snow showers this morning that left a dusting on the cars.
Going to taco night at at an American Legion later, it’s a fund raiser for Homes For Heroes.

RNG- Thanks for the link. It is well written.

What kills is the Cytokine Storm; from your posted link:

".. Cytokine Storm
The key to the higher mortality rate for COVID-19 is the cytokine storm. A cytokine storm is triggered when the body perceives that a viral attack is more than it can handle through a normal response. This can happen in several different ways (I listed one):
A virus can be so virulent that its assault on the body is so great it triggers a cytokine storm. A normal immune system protects against invaders, but an immune system driven into over-active by an aggressive virus can not only damage the lungs but also other organs, including the kidneys, liver and heart." No one knows what triggered my BOOP, but it did a number on my testicular system, pancreas, and prostrate.

BTDT - 3X. Treatment is extremely intrusive.:( I was lucky.

RNG thanks for the virus link.

Israel has technologies that can support controlling this epidemic.
Argaman's Bio-Block mask - New antiviral masks from Israel may help stop deadly coronavirus - ISRAEL21c

Jerusalem-based Argaman is nearing commercialization of a reusable, washable, breathable antiviral facemask called Bio-Block.

A prototype of the Bio-Block mask from Argaman Technologies.
According to founder and CEO Jeff Gabbay, a textile engineer with a background in pathology and infectious diseases, Bio-Block is a layered mask.

It's made from a proprietary cotton embedded with accelerated copper oxide particles, and a nanofiber textile that blocks pathogens.

The pores of the nanofiber pad are so small that bacteria cannot go through it nor a droplet that contains a live virus and our EPA-approved 100% CottonX fibers destroy the pathogens that come in contact with it, Gabbay says.

(Drew, this link calls 2019-nCoV an "airborne" virus.)

Good evening all. 40F for the start, clear sky, calm wind. South wind peaked at 21-28, sky started to cloud up late afternoon, and high temp was 74F. Mostly 60's or 70's in 10-day with 2 periods of rain. Bike ride this morning, nap this afternoon, and walk the dog, he was so impatient to start walk then stood and looked more than he walked.
Bill, could not open the pic, her favorite boat was a 19 ft Princecraft deck boat.

Drew sorry pain pill hit you so hard, the PA people hopefully can help your issues.

Phil hope the come up with a diagnosis and cut back on Dr. visits.

I believe you might could put your used masks in a UV-C environment to kill virus. Possibly ozone too, but it's hard on rubber.
Drew, sorry about your day.

Bef, keep getting better.

I'm behind on reading posts.

Prayers.

Ron, I want to live too.
