looks like I'll be hand washing my dishes for a while.
local appliance dealer who sold this said not this week.
inch of water in the bottom, bet that will smell nice soon.
Going to pour a tiny bit of bleach in it and shut the door.
If you have a wet vac, you can suck it out pretty easily.
If it’s out of warranty, there is an excellent independent appliance repairman local to me.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 0.0C with some frost and it's presently 14.8C, clear with a wee breeze.

Yesterday's excursion to the Vet's was successful, although I did sustain an annoying long scratch on my right thumb... it wasn't Penelope's fault, just the awkward way that 'we' got into my ute. Turns out that I've had her for 7 years now. [or, she's had me.]

Today is 'into town' day for groceries. Yay.

That's about it, take care all.

At the farm, pipeline crew starting to dig up the stone road they put in our field, said they would probably be finished this week.
My brother did some more work there this week, youngest brother stopped by there today.
Busy day for me, not much sleep last night, so hope I sleep better tonight.

Good evening all. 59ºF for the start, mostly clear sky, light breeze. Light wind, partly cloudy sky, and high temp was 86ºF. Made coffee to start day, Grief Share, bike ride, wanted to mow neighbor had tree crew working on property line, wanted to go to bike shop and get new tire on Volagi and Trek, but they were short handed, so no trip, nap went 2 hours! Work on two bikes that I am trying to evaluate, no quick release on tires and brakes, but everything works. They are 10 speed mountain bikes one step through one conventional frame. Started way late so no catch up on comments.

Morning all!
46 going to 68.
Up since 2 am with back and hip pain. Guess that trip up the ladder into the attic to change the filter in the air/heat exchanger is harder than I thought!
Off to breakfast with the wife's family this morning. After that will probably be a rest and recoup day.
Still need to pull weeds around the house. Just don't want to this year!
New dish washer coming tomorrow. Only the 3rd one since we built here. 35 years or so.
Worked in the shop on a quite challenging piece. Hollowing out a wide flat project thru a tiny 7/8th hole was fun.
That's it for now.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Coffee is brewing. 47° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 77° with a few clouds. Yesterday was a good day to get pressure washer out and give both a good cleaning and grease job. Did some more tree and shrub trimming. Will do some more trimming today.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
had the put the little heater on in office, cool and cloudy out today, maybe a shower, never getting very warm.

Popgadget, please email me that repair guy's name. Good idea on shop vac, have one in basement. Fair skies.
I use it to keep the dryer area clean and occasionally stick in dryer vent. Guess I'd better clean that stuff out first before
I get it wet. The sound of the ball getting unintentionally sucked up at the top of a shop vac is a very well known one to me.

slept well last night, no plans for this morning until sister and BIL stop over this afternoon from Princeton to visit and pick
up my last watermelon. I have a two inch watermelon left for me that will be fun to cut up
but the last full size one still weighed several pounds even though small. Like small cannon balls

61 outside this AM, may get to 70 today. It looks like it is raining, slight drizzle/misting going on. We will take it.

Played pick up brush yesterday. Took better part of the late afternoon and evening. No more jungle outside the back door. When we retire landscaping will be a full time job around here.

Hope all have a great day, be safe. Hump day!

good morning, 58 going to 74 cloudy

Chimney people showed up with 3 people and worked all day. Unfortunately discovered when going to bed a lot of concrete and brick debris in the fireplace and spread out on the floor in the bedroom. Cleaned it up as best I could but still going crunch crunch when walking on the floor.
They will get an earful from wife this morning when they return

oh dear, mess in bedroom, the Mrs will not be pleased
man the mops!

same kind of drizzle settling in here too
got the phone number of repairman Popgadget recommended, googled the guy
and it was all positive with one reviewer saying fully satisfied over 28 years.
So this guy has seen it all. And i have a generic cheap dishwasher hopefully he will have the
part for.

might surprise you but most reliable dishwasher is Bosch with Miele right up there, the Germans score on dishwashers.
But you don't put a two thousand dollar dishwasher in a rental house for sure.
They mentioned Whirlpool as making the first cut, thinking a cheap basic Whirlpool would fit the rental requirement.
darned dishwasher stinks of burned something. Going to check if it's on its own breaker on panel, want to flip it off.

I'm not sure about LG, they have had a lot of class action suits against them. Maybe better now.

The most reliable dishwasher brands are generally considered to be
Miele, Bosch, LG, and Whirlpool
, with Miele and Bosch often cited for their superior build quality, longevity, and consistent performance. While LG is a newer entrant, its in-house component manufacturing contributes to strong reliability, and Whirlpool is known for customer satisfaction and efficient performance.

Good morning folks, didn't get very cool overnight here in Houghton MI and was in the upper 50's this am and predicted high of 62 today. Do hope rain ends and things can dry. Cut 1/2 seaboard yesterday for snow implements and got one on which went well.

Good morning, the low is 49 and going to 72°F. Wind ESE 7 mph. Sunny!

Going to clean up the wood bark and crud out of the basement today, as well as a couple of little jobs. I have two compost piles, one for cat litter and bark and the other for food scraps and grass.

There is my day planned out.

Have a safe day all

Good morning TBN!!
50 this morning with another beautiful day on tap.

Spent most of the day cleaning up after working a few days on my scrpe blade.
I got the wiring harness for my little rail buggy so I started researching that a little more and sorting what needs to be done. That may be on todays agenda. Maybe not :)

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

I wonder when this will be standard on many more planes.
a plane that lands itself on the nearest appropriate runway
after flying there all by touching one red button.
Not to mention it has a parachute for the whole plane

I still won't fly anymore but nice to see such new safety advances coming in

Morning all, 60 going to 71 and cloudy, misty
Did some string trimming and pool cleaning (again).
One of the M18 batteries started to melt at the power connector, will see if still under warranty.

Based on weather, may split wood later.

Be well,

Daily work now, time to plan pool closing. This is after using the net to get most leaves out. After the last storm had about triple this amount in the 2 skimmers.

You'd do well to get a tower type basket, as they don't jam up the pump as bad, when they fill up with leaves.

I remember when I ran those old style baskets you have, one time the pump even sucked the basket down into the skimmer housing, I had to bust up the basket to get it back out. Other times it'd be sucked into the housing so hard that I had to shut off the pump just to withdraw the basket.
