Good morning!!!!

Good Morning to all from Central Texas. At 4:30am it is 77 degrees with the typical dew point 76.2 , no breeze so, ugh.
Have to drive into Austin today for wife's pre-op tests. Another ugh. Austin is yet another town suffering from extreme growth without enough attention to services. So, the traffic is quite troublesome. Usually dead stop and go for several miles on what they call a highway. Don't even want to consider the parking.
I should be out spraying and mowing, but afraid the day is shot.
Hope all have a great day.

Spike, that sounds like fogged up windows to me
drive safely and keep sense of humor, hope tests go well for wife

speaking of new auto gizmos, adaptive cruise makes stop and go traffic a dream. I often have to give it some extra gas since
it doesn't accelerate fast enough for me, particularly if guy in front moves out.
I don't have it on current truck and really miss it. As much as i hate lane control aids, the adaptive cruise feature seems to greatly increase
safety. It forces folks not to tailgate and that is a huge accomplishment.

Good Morning,
Vt, 58 to start going to 74. Noticeably cooler today with a chance for a shower at some point.

The gang arrived last night around 7 and so we had kind of a late dinner. Filet Mignon with shrimp and scallops with roasted peppers and onions. All washed down with a couple flood Sauvignon Blanc. 😉

Today I’m hoping to get the kiddos out on the lake for some swimming and cruising.

Pool is full up, so we have had quite a few inches of rain in the last couple of days
Ken, your grounds look beautiful, obviously a lot of work on your part !

Hope all have a blessed and safe day 🙏

Good morning, the low is 56 and going to a high of 72°F. Wind N 6 mph. A mix of sun and cloud.

Rained in the wee small hours, so no grass cutting today, maybe tomorrow.

I'll take the Dodge to the garage today so they can do the front struts. I should get it back this afternoon, but if not then tomorrow morning. It only takes an hour and a half per side, so they should be able to do it in the afternoon.

Time to get on with my day.

Have a safe day all

Good morning TBN!!
62bthis morning going to the high 80s and less humid. The way I like it!

Pretty laid back day yesterday. Got the tractor out and spent the rest of the day cleaning up. Between the tractor and the bridge it was becoming quite a mess.
Buddy is coming over today to work on his truck.
Power steering reservoir/filter will be here today
Not sure what the rest of the day holds.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Morning all!
66 going to 81 today.
Driveway crack repair and coating supposed to be done at the apartment today. Rain in the forecast so not sure if that will happen.
Lots of little jobs need doing there also.
Got the lawn mowed here yesterday. Need to figure out why one of the wheels on the tow behind mower keeps digging up the ground instead of rotating! Spins great when I try it manually.
Quiet week for doctors appointments. Should be going to Holiday mode shortly!
Couple of projects from the shop.
Cigar holder, two dish items. One with flying paint used. (fun)and a birch box.

Phil, you've been busy, beautifying the world

got half the rv washed, came in for water and a rest, plus my drying towels are in the dryer
so have to wait for them. Spigot water at my home is untreated well water and I've already found that water can't be
left sitting on the paint to dry. So everything has to be dried off

very nice out now as temp slowly creeps up
sun is coming up so 25 degree rise expected

need to pick some more mint for my iced tea.
it's growing like mad in the garden, from year before and I now have too
much of it. Need to bag it and give it away.

68 going to 90. Feels pretty good outside for this time of year. Just ran a raccoon away from our bird feeding area. Too light for her to be out. Got interrupted before posting, so that was over an hour ago.

Nice job, Lou. Stronger than new.

Ken, sounds like a great meal to match the great view.

After the deluge, and sun came out, decided to reflood the yard and power wash the Polywood Adirondack chairs and tables...get them pretty for company this weekend...turned out to be a bigger job than I expected...almost all chores do. 6 chairs, flipping them upside down first and getting lots of bird and other residue off. Used a soaking detergent, then the 40 degree nozzle...have never used the tighter ones. It's an old power washer by Karcher, with a Honda 190..very reliable and easy to start...hose connection leaks and have not been able to find an o-ring that exactly fits from my two boxes of HF 0-rings, metric and std.

Dropping like flies. Another acquaintance kicked the bouquet day before.
Went to High School with him.
We had the same birthday so we used to say we were twins separated at birth. It was funny at the time.
Didn't know he was ill. The big C got him.
Today starting out around 66 and going up to 80+.
At least shouldn't rain. It's done enough this year to ruin my cherries.
Gotta clean up the deck on GC2300 and cut some grass. If anything the lawn is benefitting from the regular rains.

good morning, 73 going to 85 sunny conditions nice morning

Water heater replacement completed. Installed isolation valves and unions on the water lines. Raised off the concrete floor on short stubs of PVC pipe, Dual anodes. Copper pipe crimped with Milwaukee crimper tool

Retina check up went well. No issues. Double sun glasses helped minimize the glare after dilation

Mowed some of the upper area

A trip to vineyard in VA may be on the agenda

Good Morning
It’s 74° and sunny, dew point is 68, no rain forecast, but hot.

Yesterday followed the plan, had a nice time at the RC club, there was a mid air collision with two identical planes, some experimentation with smoke, followed by whopper Wednesday at Burger King.

After I got home, I did some mowing with the Lazer, loaded grain into the barn, made sure the smoker was ready for this evening’s brisket.

Today starts with breakfast with the professor before hooking up the progressive mower and mowing the open areas, trimming and prepping the brisket, it will go in the smoker after this evenings RC club meeting.
I’m sure other stuff will pop up, curious to see what happens.

Morning all, 78 going to 89 and sunny, rain/storms later.
Got some work on the bicycles so son could go for a ride, need to put a new tune in one, maybe later.
played pickup sticks and watched more fawns playing around.
Put a coat of Oil on the acacia table, starting to look good again.

Need to put out more pool furniture, trim out the stiltgrass along the driveway and fix the last overflow from that swale. Maybe mow the side fields if I get time before the rain.

Worked on front low voltage lights, 1 fixed, 2 new on order. 8 years is a good run on these I guess.

be well,

Wing drying time on front stairs, finally able to fly away a few minutes later

forgot I needed gas in can on first trip so went back downtown and got gas for the car and the can.
nice to be able to keep windows down, 78 and through areas of shade with trees overhanging the road.
So you go from warm to cooler, warm to cooler. Nice.

decided on fish for July 4th and got some fried oysters I will refry on barbecue

now out to change air filter on rv gen and sharpen blades on electric trim mower.
that should complete necessary maintenance for today. tomorrow?...

somewhere I have a pair of 14YRC plugs which go in the generator, only one, and now I can't find where I put them.
so need to dig through some boxes. I went to order them and Amazon thankfully told me I already had them.

The crimping of the copper pipes is not that as clean looking as soldering would be

View attachment 3701743

I agree. I only use the propress fittings where warranted, like wet pipes. They are more expensive, take up more room and don’t really save any time over soldering.

came in and took off soaked shirt. Enough of that.
but got the air filter changed in the rv generator and the mower blade sharpened.
then of course had to push the mower and that's when the sweating started.
but it's exactly the exercise I need, just not enough to make my face go beet red.

a baby was born today.
just my kind of baby...
friendship plant on left is grandmom, who had two daughters.
I took one daughter to Colorado with me and this daughter is the second one.
This daughter gave birth to a daughter today, the one on the right, which I transplanted with a spoon.
so granddaughter going to friends in Lancaster PA next week.
friendship plant aka dollar plant aka take along plant
fairly indestructible
and if you look carefully, grandmom is still pumping them out
