Good morning, the low is 20 and going to a high of 34°F. Wind NE 14 gusting to 21 mph. 60% periods of light snow.
So far most of the nasty stuff is going south of me. Hope it stays down south.

I will be plowing today, the block heater is turned on.

Ron, that is a real nice shot of Bambi.

Have a safe day all

62 going to 83.

Buppies, sure hope you can get some sleep and Holly improves.

Friend, good luck on that land purchase.

Scotty, glad you figured out how to make the best of the trex measurement problem. You and BEF are motivating me to install a deck...we don't have one, but my wife would sure like one.

I'm rebuilding our grape arbor. I've replaced all of it in stages at least once, but the cedar posts and bearers eventually rot. So spent a few hours yesterday cutting and limbing dead cedars back in our woods. Some are over 30 feet tall. Virginia juniper, that we call cedar, are great early succession trees that are often planted by birds...but the mature hardwood and pine forest eventually shades out many of them, and they begin to die.

So, I had marked the best straight sections to cut, some big diameter ones for posts, and some longer (up to 16') pieces for the top. I got too warm and tired by afternoon, so took Della for a dump run/hike and swim. Nice to hike in shorts and short sleeves (was 77F, 41 degrees warmer than our hike 2 days before).

Here's the first, test load of longer cedar pieces. I rigged a pallet on the carry all to strap them down. Worked well.

a warm 54 out going up to an even warmer 84 today
need to run downtown early this morning to pick up some hoagies for lunch, to
feed my helper today. Lots of projects to work on, including building a new cover for my
generator. After four years the old one was in rough shape and blows off too easily.
This one from same company but now revised and more "storm proof". ?

hope to plant four rose bushes along driveway today, move gardening stuff out of garage and reorganize garage.
also have that stone to put down by the new pavers. Then will do a final clean on the Gravely garden tractor, and use it to move
trailer back behind shed. Which will free up that spot behind my house to install the firepit and chairs.
have to build the firepit today also. Lots to do and a nice warm day to do it.
forecast just changed, a lingering shower perhaps at 9am.

hope you all have a nice weekend.

Good Morning,
Ct, 44 to start going to 73 😳 Wow not used to that. Will head down to HD this morning to pick up an additional 10 lengths of Trex.

Got taxes done by my BIL last night and then out for a nice dinner at a local restaurant in Milford,Ct. Looks like I will get back about $1000 and Kathleen will get back more because she is able to do an IRA because of her consultant job at the hospital.

Billy, by Tuesday l will let you know what a great idea it was to redo one of the Vermont decks. 😉😃. Hope you can do one also, but I’m sure you know it’s a bit of work 😉.

Skies clear now so hopefully get more yard work done today. I did a bunch of raking and started to put down fertilizer with crab grass preventer. So will continue with that today.

Paul, just imagine that snow pic of your place, that’s what Bill is probably looking at now 😉.

Hope all have a good day 🙏

Good Morning
It’s 55° and overcast, high of 80 for today with no rain.

Yesterday’s trip killed the day, music was canceled, so it was a leisurely evening with my wife. We watched the movie about Bob Dylan, “A complete unknown” and liked it.

I did see something yesterday that I don’t often see, and that was traffic above us while we were at 45,000 feet.

The other highlight was finding these to the mail. Someone sent them to me anonymously.

Today will start off with getting back on the wire locator. Not sure what’s next on the agenda, maybe get started on the pad for the shed.

Good morning TBN!!
60 right now going to 80 but mostly cloudy sky's.
Lot of cutting yesterday by myself. I have one small piece to take out then clean up begins. Mostly used the Plasma cutter. Plasma and 80 makes for a hot and tiring day. Had to stop often and then stopped because I think I am out of consumables. Discs tips etc. I have more discs coming today. And reordered more for tips for the Plasma.
The wife went to a local sawmill and got a pick up full of sawdust. Thanks Lou. :) I think it will do very well for the bulk of sludge and oil. I also have a few bags of oil dry but may try to just save it for the shop. Gonna be a dirty job one way or another. Wonder if Mike Rowe is available LOL
Getting a late start today.

Time for a second cup.
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Just above freezing.
On going fog advisory for the morning.
Freezing rain warning Toronto and north. Travel warning for that area.
Power outages already in a few areas.
We're usually not that bad but should have precipitation off and on during the day.
Not really going much past mid 30sF.
Gentle fire and nice cupper of tea. Hankering for a cucumber sandwich.
Where's a woman when you need a sandwich?

Good Morning!!!! 46F @ 6:00AM. A mix of clouds and sun early followed by cloudy skies this afternoon. High 61F. Winds NW at 15 to 25 mph. Higher wind gusts possible.

Realtor got the old house listed on the MLS yesterday, and I see Zillow has already picked it up. Over 100 views yesterday, ninety something already this morning, and 12 saves. But lookin' and buyin' is two different things. Also sent a list of corrections for the listing. One big one was for the description text. I guess the realtor didn't do very well in English class. There was a 2500 character limit, and I was able to use all but ten of them. I put together a separate web page with much more detail than would fit in the listing, and the URL was supposed to be in the listing. Somehow that didn't happen, so I'll be looking into that today, as well as tweaking some of the photos.

Spent the rest of the day putting together an ad for the M62 Kubota and implements. I was shocked that to purchase that tractor new would now cost in the mid $40K range, and the options installed on it would double the price. I plan on asking 75% of the MSRP for the tractor, and 66% for the implements. But I can't do anything until escrow closes on the place up north because I still need the tractor to maintain the property.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend!

Good Morning,
Well I tried out my borrowed bed extender, to pick up 10 more 12 ft boards. Works well, but I will be pretty well loaded when I put everything in the bed 😉

Dennis, this works well for 12 ft pieces but if I had 16 ft it would be sticking out too far.

Morning all, 63 going to 84 and cloudy.
Surprise rain last night, got home from town right before it started. Otherwise a nice walk around.
Was "interesting" watching a guy with Kayak doing core balancing on the brook leading to the old mill wheel. First time seeing that.

RNG - hope the house sells quick, really nice presentation and videos

Scotty - don't forget the red flag and safe travels.

Going to HD to get some mulch, maybe take the dog for a walk, with plenty of water, it is going to be hot for her.

Maybe if I get time replace the cap and fuse on the monitor and see if it works.

Be well,

64°F and no rain

Yesterday got off to a good start at Dr ofc. Pretty much as expected my BP dosage increased to 100 mg. Sophie started at geriatric level. Good discussion with Dr

Tracking indicated 2 parcels I was awaiting for a project were available for pickup. Ended up with 4. Headed to Hilo town for some shopping and fill Tundra with gas (24.2 g). Day went downhill. Sophie decided to wait for fresh batch of boneless wings at Safeway. That short wait got extended to an hour.
While waiting I checked my packages to learn one of the expected ones was not in the mix.
Back to PO and 45 minutes later still no package. Fortunately their system showed it as awaiting pickup. Had it been tagged as delivered I would have been told I was SOL. That happened a few months ago. Shortly after getting home PO called to say found package and I can pick it up this morning.

So off to PO this morning and resume from yesterday

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

sure feels good sitting down.
got almost everything accomplished today, had a nice hoagie lunch with nephew's son in my back yard as the winds kept blowing
our potato chips away. We worked hard, moved all the gardening stuff to shed but not yet fully put away.
tomorrow is another day and it sure got warm out, low to mid 80's.

I need to pick up a few stones after my helper but he did a good job on the pavers and gravel.
and he helped me dig the holes for the roses as I taught him a little something about planting.
I also powerwashed the Gravely and put the trailer away in the back, so firepit goes in its old spot.
new cover on the portable gen looks much better than old one, seems a little sturdier.

Finally identified the tree in the corner of the back yard after it bloomed. It has wine colored leaves and droopy limbs, it is a Weeping Redbud tree.

Taking a lunch break for a rest from rock and vegetation removal from the dry river bed.

Clear skies, 80 degrees.

Good Afternoon!

It's a sunny 84°F Mostly calm but gusting up to 18mph out of the South. Clear visibility and 59% humidity.

Haven't been able to enjoy it outside as much as I would like so far today. But that is about to change.

Buppies, I'm sending prayers for Holly and you!

Everyone have a great Saturday and weekend! Prayers for our Nation!

Back in from plowing. The 4 to 8" turned out to be a foot of heavy wet, good packing snow. Great for snow men, snow forts and snowball fights. And if you are mean enough ice balls. Started at 11:30 and finished at 4:30, all fueled and liquids checked.
Had a good 1/2 hour chat with my new customer about her firewood storage for next winter and wildlife. Seem like she has mice or tree rats, she is not sure which. Told her to get a female cat. Experience has taught me that female cats hunt better than males.
So far so good here, we got about 1/32" of ice and the rest snow.
Tens of thousands without power as ice storm hits parts of Ontario

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 9.6C (wind chill temp.) and it's presently 14.7C, overcast & windy.

Yesterday was practically a full day erecting signs... not too many of those to do but, as I said yesterday, it's the travelling time to get to the locations. I did treat my helping Mate to a late lunch at a 'micro-brew' place in Bicheno on our way back to St Helens. So, that's all of my assigned 'signs' done.

I'm off to Church in a few minutes and then the rest of the day is His.

That's about it, take care all.
So no so budget on hold until government reforms?
I think that they got the budget passed on the Wednesday, prior to the budget-reply.

Anyway, one of the benefits of these elections is that the campaigns are short. In this case we'll only have to 'put up with' the adverts & spruiking for 5 weeks. (y)
