Drinking second cup of coffee. 18° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 42° with PM clouds. I was able to do a lot energy conserving yesterday. Today I need to change batteries in alarm system sensors and smoke/carbon dioxide alarms. Should have done it when DST ended. May get out and blow some leaves away from house and garden pond.
Not sure I can go with the sweet potatoes. I still remember them from when I was a kid. Candid sweet potatoes with marshmallows. Didn't like them 70 years ago. Hard to change my mind on them being good in Air Fryer. :ashamed:

Randy, nice cars. Wish I had taken pictures of my many muscle cars. Top ones were a 56 Chevy with 63 327 vette engine. 64 Plymouth Fury with 426. 68 Corvette. 1974 El Camino SS. 1970 AMX and others.

bunyip, 40+°C is way too hot in what we would call spring. I remember being in Toronto in the late 80's when temperatures hit 40°. Only consolation was I had my boat out on Lake Ontario fishing for some relief. Lots of fog from water temperature difference from air temperature.

A good friend of mine has a 64 Sport Fury, black/ red and 426 Maxi Wedge. He also has a 62 Super Duty 421 Catalina lite weight Ventura trim, it has 6 miles on it.

My first car was a beat up 61 Corvair.

Those 2 replay calls were poor. PSU will lose. I am happy that PSU made it close; much closer than all the point spreads. It will not really hurt PSU's poll standings They'll get a pretty decent bowl game this year.

Maybe my experience running group therapy sessions in secure, psychiatric settings helps. Actually those (attempted) sessions were exercises in trying to simultaneously manage chaos and crowd control.

I had the misfortune to attend OSU during Woody Hayes' last few years. I felt embarrassed during job interviews when people would ask me why everyone was so proud of Hayes when he started punching players from opposing teams. All I ever got out of football weekends was some idiot trying to park in my driveway for free. And riots on High Street, even when they won.:thumbdown:

All I ever got from PSU games was usually cold, an awful drunk on, and horrible hangover Sunday-Monday. I lived off campus my sophomore year and got my first dog who starred in a bio-movie about canine birthing and early puppy socialization and was gifted with a really great black labXcollie mix male pup. Momma dog wanted to birth in my bed, but we were able to coax into a birthing room set up to filming with a "porno approved" 16mm movie camera. He became a campus dog and survived. He died at 14 by my bed here. Joe Paterno met us many times walking in his neighborhood. He loved my dog. He lived a very practical, humble life in private. He deserved better from the JS scandal. History will redeem him.

PSU played well against a better team. The game sounded far worse than the score indicates. I no longer play the sheets, but I am glad PSU put a "hurt on" the bookies. I'd bet that my BIL/GF got burned on the OSU-PSU game. Both are great agricultural land grant universities.

I get more far more from this group thread than what the group collective gets from me. I am just a fellow passenger on this magic bus. Maybe steam locomotive.

He only did that once.

I started the next year. I went to one of woody’s talks once and really enjoyed it. He was a history professor in addition to coaching.

But the riots, I agree were ridiculous.

Going out to eat to celebrate youngest sons bday a couple weeks late.

Went with older son to get emissions inspection. Just hookup to ODB. So missed first half of the game.

During my "era" PSU students were usually too stoned, too drunk, or too tripped out to riot win or lose.
