Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 14.1C and it's presently 24.8C, mostly sunny & calm.

A major vacuuming of the house, not just the floors but walls/ceilings/doorframes/etc... was accomplished yesterday. Just 'one of those things' that needs to be done occasionally.

My Mate in Brisbane is hunkering down as a Cat 1or2 Cyclone is expected to hit the area, perhaps, tomorrow morning.

The Cyclone is called TC "Alfred". However, it was originally designated "Anthony", which quickly got changed because that's the first name of our current Prime Minister and there's a federal election coming up.

That's about it, take care all.

Good evening all. 37ºF for the start, mostly cloudy sky, light breeze. Light to moderate wind, variable cloudiness, and high temp was 64ºF. Made coffee to start day, made Cream of Wheat mix for breakfast, worked finding out if any of old heart monitor was ok, chest strap was good , module was not. Got fridge filter changed out, filter did not pop loose when door was fully opened. All it took was a flat screw driver to push filter over and it popped right out. Bike ride and lunch and nap, worked on taxes and had dinner with step daughter and hubby.
Ron sorry about the wind and snow. glad laundry done. Good to know gold fish survived the winter. Glad tools are ready for roofing project. Nice pic. We had a Birdfy, the squirrel deterrents did not deter the squirrels. It used a lot of WiFi bandwidth to move pics and videos around.
Drew hope the early boaters have fun on Lake Drew. Hope the crown fits properly this time. I was in the State Farm program and dropped out. They had an app that would run while I was in car to verify how I drove. They changed to new app, app and location service had to be on all the time, I said no thanks. Electric monitoring just verifies that you do drive sanely.

RNG hope you have good camping trip this weekend. Hope your friend with aneurysm recovers fully. One of my S Charles neighbors had an aneurysm, Dr said later that if the other side of blood vessel had ruptured, he would have died on way to hospital. There was enough other organs to slow bleeding enough doctors were able to find and fix it.
Paul some of my friends still work, that affects what I do to some extent.

Coffee is done brewing. 20° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 40° with snow and other winter weather in late afternoon. Grocery shopping went good. Wind made the day mostly inside house. Been doing U-tube searches on how to cut and install metal roofing. Looks like today will be similar.

Apparently never posted yesterday, wound up with about 0.75” rain. Temps hit mid 50’s and fog all day put a good dent in the snow cover.

Not much going on today to muddy and windy for outside stuff just putter around some more.

Scotty, it does look cozy. I fired up my woodstove late yesterday so it would be warm when my wife returned from babysitting overnight at our granddaughter's house. Hadn't burned it in a while with the up and down temps, but yesterday's strong wind added an incentive.

Mostly, I use a combination of topo-based hiking maps and a GPS-based hiking app. They are pretty accurate.

Worked on taxes again yesterday, and took Della for a hike. Daffodils are blooming and the red maples are fringed in red buds. Bluebirds have picked their mates and birdboxes. Spring is upon us.

Feeling better this morning so maybe more productive today. Not there is anything on the agenda

Good morning, the low is 13 and going up to 25°F. Wind W 7 mph. 40% chance of flurries.

I will be plowing today.
The past three storms I have been giving this place a 'lick and a promise', well yesterday it came back to bite me hard! $160.oo poorer and I was on my way to the dump and PO.
Tow truck came and winched me out of the hole I dug for myself.
Came back from town and spent 2 hours cleaning up the upper part of the driveway. I'll go out today and clean up the rest and the neighbours too.

I did transfer about 125 gallons of fuel oil into the house tank, while I was waiting for the tow truck. So my time wasn't a total loss.

That is my day planned out.

Another late night with the real jobs. Lots of traffic on the roads, in the evening and early morning. Lots of people moving about when it is unexpected. Odd.
Wife did grocery run, no beer, sad. I'll have to run out this AM between stuff.

Not much else planned. Work is fingers in the dike right now. So over it.

Hope all have a great start to the weekend. It needs to dry up a lot more before I attempt any "yard" work. Maybe today. Time to get into the rat race.

32° and not a cloud in the sky. High in the upper 40’s.

Yesterday I got the hydraulic cylinder apart and went to the hydraulic shop for parts, they couldn’t pull them until later in the day, so that project was put on hold. Fortunately they did have them, Kubota discontinued them. The issue was that they were moving or rearranging the parts shelves and couldn’t locate them until things were put back together.
My buddy picked up the parts, so reassembly will happen this morning.
The backsplash tile is grouted and caulked, small job,but still time consuming.

Picked up the extended strike plate from the powder coater, worked out well.

I’m discovering that there is a world of free drawings ready to 3D print available on line, there is no need to reinvent the wheel, and make your own drawings for everything. Here is a magazine loader that I found and printed.

Made a mailbox mount and welding cable hanger with the brake for the hydraulic press, I definitely like the electric pump better than the pneumatic one.

Got the trash and recycling gathered up and down to end of the lane, grabbed some dinner in time for a zoom RC club meeting to end the day.

Today will likely start like yesterday, working on the hydraulic cylinder, but going together rather than coming apart.
Not sure what will follow, I’ve got a few lingering computer projects to get back to, and trying to tidy things up before I go off to Wichita for 4 days of recurrent training on Sunday afternoon.

Good morning! 63˚F heading to a warm 87˚ partly cloudy, SW wind.
Successful Day yesterday, Replaced 4 landscape lights that were still just under warranty (saved $600), Replaced noisy leaking pool pump, received written approval to install trellis in courtyard, cleared 6 feet in dry river bead, programed smart Brilliance socket for landscape lights to come on at 6pm and go off at 9pm and connected it to the house hub. Vt, 20 to start going to 32 ! Sunny skies now with a few passing clouds, but the real story is severe winds all night into today! Nothing melting now !

The gang should be here sometime this afternoon, so hoping the winds slow down so the kids can get some outside time , sliding etc !

I may take the tractor out and move a little snow around for a better sliding run !
