Morning all, 29 going to 35 and cloudy
Got bench assembled and it looks ok. wife is happy.
Went to get pills, 1.85 for one bottle , $240 for the other :-(

Dad is still same, no improvement, still can't hold the phone.

We watched the Dhobi's in Mumbai, huge vats for washing. They have a marking system for the clothes so that they get them to the right people, even with thousands of items going through the cleaning each hour.
It's kind of like the lunch delivery people, error rate of delivery is so low that it's hard to measure.
Fedex, UPS and others have studied this process intently, but never able to even get close.

Be well,

Breakfast with the gang, wife didn't go. I bought milk and chips at grocery story, filled up car with gas.
roads now being salted, but radar shows everything sliding by to the south of us.
stove purring nicely, or maybe it's tiger on top purring... He loves that heat.

Welcome pearson_n and I’ll second having a nice weekend 👍

Crowded at the dump this morning, people beating the snow I guess. Filled up snow blower and topped off tractor. Had an empty gas can so went and filled that and my truck. All set for the “BIG WEATHER EVENT” I wish the media would can the drama and just report the weather, it’s New England, it’s winter, it snows.🙃
Back to energy conservation for the rest of the day.

Enjoy!

62°F and no rain

Happy with my tank install yesterday. Much better water pressure

Notices the guinea grass growth is out pacing the regular grass. May attempt some targetted mowing.

Conversation initiated with generator tech, no appointment yet but I’m hoping for next week. Once that is squared away zi can get my solar guy back.

Still need to change out battery in the honda generator.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

used the laundry service on my stays in New Delhi. Always impeccable and neat delivered back to the company villa apartment. Left a wad of local currency in the pocket and it was delivered back intact

Well Afternoon all, morning got away from me today.

This has been a somewhat unusual winter for us We have had several small nuisance storms of 2-4 inches that have needed to be scrapped off to avoid iceing, I heard today it was around 30 inches for the season with no accumulation.
The forecast for tonight and tomorrow is 6-10 inches. I have done my best to make sure it is in the lower amount. Dropped the blade of the rear, hooked up the blower, lubed it up and ran it a bit to check it out. Topped of the tractors fuel tanks and filled the pickup in town.

Drew sorry to hear that Taylor Swift is moving in, I can think of many other Country artists I'd rather have any wheres close by.

Hope everyone weathers the storms this weekend with no issues.

wow, been too busy to give a decent reply, but have been lurking. May have missed a page of posts or 2.

Plenty of guys feeling bad, or have worse symptoms. Prayers to our team.

Big life changes for me, my mom has come to live with us for a while. My sister wants to put her in a high dollar place $$$ and sell/spend everything including her home. This place provides meals, and will come check on her if asked (sure that costs extra). Mom is doing fairly well, and we are planning to put her back in her own home, with wellness visits and 2 neighbors that will check on her. 1 of which, will work for pay caring for her. Well, my sis and her husband are worth a lot more than me, and don't really need any inheritance. I wish the case was the same for me. She is a girl, and might be making "feel good" decisions. I do need her help handling the situation. Ultimately, I am the executor. I just don't want to put her in a 5-6K a month place, and when she runs out of money, will have to go to a different place.

My sis just popped up this "sell the house" idea yesterday. (After I went and got a Lady Bird deed done, which she knew about....)

I will run my replys to her through my wife's filter, to be as diplomatic and loving as possible.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. You have nothing to gain. Now if it needs brakes, that’s another story.
True, true. My buddy was going to spend a ton putting new shocks on a Highlander because of a few bumps on the hwy on his trip. I laughed, told him to save his money, "those same bumps launch everybody"! It is where some clay ruins the hwy and they have to repair it every 2 years are so.

Morning all, 25 going to 49 and cloudy.
Did get the trim and patch measurements written down yesterday.
Then off to dog walk, saw Girlscouts selling cookies in the freezing weather so we bought some boxes.
By the time I got home I was starting to feel bad again and am a complete wreck this morning.
I pray you get feeling better Ken.

Good Evening
Day started at 25° and cleaning up a light snow, ended at 45, with it all melted.

New propane tank arrived a bit after 9, he took back behind the shop where it goes, picked up the old one, and placed the new one, then transferred the propane from the old one to the new one. Interesting how they did it. He had a rig made up with a York style automotive air conditioning compressor driven by a 5hp Honda engine. He connected the liquid ports on the two tanks together, and then the compressor rig sucked vapor from the new tank, and pumped it into the old tank, forcing the propane into the new tank. It transferred surprisingly fast.

Here’s the old tank about to be set on the edge of the lane for the old supplier (that more than doubled my price without any warning or discussion) to pick up. Surprisingly, they didn’t ask any questions when I told them to pick up their tank.

Tracked down a small issue with my radiant heat, turns out that the bathroom thermostat controlled one of the loops in the bedroom, and the bedroom thermostat controlled the other loop in the bedroom and the single loop in the bathroom. Totally my lapse of attention wiring the zone actuators.

Finished up with an oddfellows meeting.
Buddy got a new valve for his tank, not sure why, then they approved his new home's gas piping. Then filled him up a bit and sent him a bill almost $1000
Ahh, you are human, I was beginning to wonder.:)
LOL. :)

Just saw this posted.
Sad about Bird. He had passed back in October 28th.

Thanks.
I see Roy was still with us then, and Eric from the UK.
Yep, wondered what happened to Eric too?
Tinhack wait until summer arrives I fear a lot of heat
Too late, already here. Snow 10 days ago, now 85F
Or use a bullet of your favorite caliber at an appropriate range.
Yep. Could be exciting too?

PitBoss pellet grill working great. Cooking already seasoned chicken leg/thigh quarters is easy and cheap.

Only got to ride Yamaha a couple of times. Would like to ride today, but mom is here and life is different.

Good Afternoon Ken,
We watched the Dhobi's in Mumbai, huge vats for washing.
A friend of mine in the FD told me about a trip that he took on business to Mumbai ! Didn’t sound like a place I would want to visit with people pooping in the gutters over there ! Maybe it’s different now ! 😒

31°F with light rain and fog this morning, got up to 41° here today.

Ran a bunch of errands for The Wife this morning, which found me in Fairview Heights, THE shopping mecca of the Illinois side of the STL area. And boy was it crazy today. I was glad to finally get done and get back to my regularly scheduled peaceful life. Made some delicious tacos for dinner. Yummy.

Youngest stepson had yet another surgery on his leg Thursday. This was number 8; 7 on his leg, and 1 on his hand. This one shortened a screw holding his tibia and fibula together, which was protruding enough to cause discomfort in his prosthetic. They also removed a spur that had formed, and rounded the bottom of the tibia where it was cut. They kept him overnight, then released him Friday morning. He had a great conversation with his employer earlier in the week. They are still holding his job and seniority until he can return. Gotta love that.

Welcome to the GM thread, pearson_n.

Your NC farm experience was enjoyable to read and watch, Drew.

Good evening, gents.

The daffodils are up, just waiting for the tulips to bloom. The tulips are being irrigated and are looking good.
High today was 87 nice crowd at the farm. The strong breeze made it seem cooler than it was.

Before work went to an estate sale and bought a dining room set for $300 - table and 8 chairs. Since I already have a good table I just needed the chairs but the estate wanted everything gone so I had to buy the table and move it also. I arranged to move the table Monday and they agreed to put a price on it and try to sell it in the next 3 hours they were open. I got a call at work that the table sold so I won't have to load that heavy table. Selling the table brought the total price I paid for the chairs to $32 each - good deal.

Good evening all. 64ºF for the start, overcast with heavy dew, breezy. Moderate wind with brisk gusts, overcast cleared out about 3PM, and high temp was 76ºF, low temp forecast to be 45ºF. Cold front went through about noon, and felt the temp dropping as we finished about 3. Made coffee to start day, bike ride out the door at 7, 71 miles, headwind most of the way, so too longer to ride. Lot of longhorns out on route including two where debating whether to have a go at each other, or take care us then have a go at each other ;) lunch nap, dinner.
Resuming at 8:57 AM CST, post 203,001:
Buppies Good advice prayers sent.
David hope tank replacement went well.
Dennis sorry power still out at MIL, presume no generator. Hope stove got cleaned and back in service.
Scott(VT) my german is far less than my Spanish which is muy poquito. Nice pic
Dennis did they have weather event like microburst at MIL? Lot of trees down.
Bill glad plowing done for day.
Drew hope dealer comes through for you.
Dennis good to hear power returned at MIL house. Glad to hear stove cleaned and returned to service. Yes exact storm tract bounces a bit, so don't worry too much with totals.
Randy(WAG) hope cheese good as well as meeting.
Drew glad you got outside for a bit. Yes dive bombing did far more damage as opposed to the torpedo planes that were expected to do the most damage. For the CIWS to do damage on hogs would need to be able to follow them. If you got 2/3 hogs, the remainder would repopulate in less than a year :(
Scott(VT) thanks for the stories from your father, and thank you for his service.
David glad old tank replaced. hope no leaks when back on line.
Don you mowed in shorts, we rode bikes in summer clothes. Was cooling off as we got done. Sorry about floor robot died. Front came though here today.
Saturday 3:18 AM CST post:
NHBX enjoy your snow, hope dump run was ok.
Drew sorry you are so close to freeze line. Hope not too much ice. Hope sock ok after laundry.

Drew definitely need good cold weather grip for shoes.
Phil hope breakfast good, sorry consignment store didn't work out. Neat wood project. Hope day went well after the tire store.
Buppies sorry you are missing out again.
Billy skunk will be back without an attitude adjustment. Glad wife was able to get enough eggs without breaking the bank. I understand the supplement reluctance, doesn't seem like very many really do testing for safety and effectiveness. Hope you can get tree taken care of before bridge suffers damage. Good to hear progress in taxes and financial statement, and you ad Della got hike in :). Good to hear house has goodies again.
Ron you mean no credit for crawling?
Spike56 sorry recycle people insisting for much more to recycle propane bottle. Is the EA-37B to replace AWACS? Nice pic
Bill hope light replacement went well.
Scott(VT) hope C driveway kept clear. Looking forward to Cardinal baseball.
Mike hope you got enough firewood. Sorry bulb of wrong hue not returnable.
Frits sorry new cleats not easier to use.
Happy(NC) hope you had fun wandering around Rual King and HF. Hope you can get contractor to up your priority. Nice steps over 11K

RNG good to hear house near ready to sell. Sorry about lizard sneaking in and will eat your buddy lizards. Glad you go him.
Don hope good day on the tractor.
Drew my son in law has suspenders that clip on his jeans, seam to work well. And here I thought we would be treated to Drew impersonating Ron with the propane bottle :)
Buppies right after first NFL strike Cardinals left St Louis for Phoenix :(
pearson_n welcome to GM thread. Care to share about where you live.
Drew sorry to hear about rich and famous moving in. Have the same problem here, but not Taylor Swift.
Engineer thanks for reminder.
Ken had that same problem, was on the actual medicine not the generic, got Dr to change to generic once effectiveness established. Nice bench work :) and crazy Mumbai laundry pic
Dennis glad good breakfast and stove and Tiger hard at it.
NHBX glad you are ready, yes I wish they would skip the drama as well.
David hope target mowing is practical. Hope you get generator tech in.
Frits glad new Delhi laundry service worked well.
Lou sounds like you are ready for storm.
Randy(WAG) hope church was good.

Drew Thanks for the pic and your experience in North Carolina.
Scott(VT) not sure much has changed over time.
Thomas hope you energy and motivation come back in time for snow control.
PJ glad you survived the crazy shopping center. Glad tacos turned out. Hope for quick healing from stepson surgery. Prayers sent.
Don nice pic of the daffodils. Hope tulips bloom on time. Glad you were able to resell table you didn't want and got good price on chairs.

23:59 hrs, didn't get to the light. Junior says it is the fixture. It doesn't like the colder weather.
.75 inch of flurries for tomorrow. Another .75" on Sunday. Might plow on Monday, then again might not.
Went to bed at 7:30, couldn't hold my eyes open any longer and am now 'up'. Probably go back to bed eventually.

Good morning,
23° now highs in the upper 20’s today. Winds NNW 5-10 mph. Looks like 6 or 7” snow on the ground and still snowing lightly, should end mid/late morning.

Only thing on tap is snow cleanup later today.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy
Prayers for all

/ Good morning!!!! #203,057
Poured first cup of coffee. 22° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 27° with continued clouds and brisk winds. About 1" of snow dropped yesterday evening. Did some puttering in shop yesterday. But nothing got done. A few inches of snow are forecast for later this week. So I topped off fuel tank in both tractors. Not much planned for today. Get walkways cleaned off. Then see what comes up.
Hukl0YV.jpg

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
looked outside and saw everything shiny and four inch long icicles hanging from the gutters.
thankfully going up to 40 today so it should melt.
no plans for today

woke up in middle of night, heard rain and sleet wacking against the windows, didn't sleep well after that.
so today should be a nap day

glad you got your cleats Ron

/ Good morning!!!! #203,060
36 and clear, except some ground fog. Got about a quarter inch of snow and sleet early, but then temp hovered at 33F all day, so never got anything but rain. Glad no ice, but standing water in some of the fields.

Mostly, I used to have dogs in my path while biking, but glad I never encountered longhorns.

Roasted 3 batches of Central and South American coffees. Doing a "science test" on one right now to see how smoothly it goes down. 😁
