Good morning.

39 going to 61 today. Should be sunny today and then a couple of days with rain in the forecast. Spent friday and Saturday rebuilding the porch at my sisters house. Then a few hours of leaf blowing with the back pack blower. Tired and sore from that.
Yesterday I had to rehang a tv at the apartment house and while we were there my wife decided it would be a good day to rip out the old rug and expose the hard wood floor. After 5 hours of that I’m totally beat. I have muscles I didn’t know I have screaming at me!
Still deciding if I’m going to skip work today and rest a little. Tractor needs it’s 100 hour service, maybe I’ll putter with that today.
Nice truck buppies!
Stay healthy and safe all.

54 going to 66. Still cloudy after yesterday's rain and mist all day, but should get sunny.

Spent most of my free time yesterday at the gym, and then roasting coffee. Wife has a number of paperwork things for me today regarding her dad's passing.

Happy World Series eve.

good morning all.
weather has cleared up, good day for traveling.
wondering if I should get in my MIL's cherry pie for breakfast; I called her last night and told her it was wonderful,
like it seems many women do, she always assumes it won't taste good until you tell them it's fine. At her age, 93, I'm just happy
she's still baking and enjoying it.

Plan is to go to George's Food & Spirits in Winchester VA tonight, with oldest brother and wife. Before then, it's a run down the NE Extension to PA Turnpike, out to Harrisburg and then down 81. Will stop in Hagerstown for Amish market, will be good test of my "city" driving. Am hoping on a Monday it won't be too busy at the market so parking won't be nuts. If I can't find a spot on the side, I'll have to just hog up four spaces as far away as I can. And hopefully always have enough room to pull out straight and not back up.

Buppies, that is as nice as it gets. All the car magazines agree that is the nicest interior of any truck made today. Good luck with it.

Ted, glad you are getting around a little better. Don't overdo it... Yes, Bucks County sure was pretty. Was like a car show for me, all these fancy cars and very few pickup trucks. But the roads were potholed, as usual, and the drivers very aggressive and impatient. I had one guy on Sunday morning in a panel van road rage at me, I think because I didn't accelerate fast enough in my borrowed Honda CRV, and for miles gave me the finger and tried to get me to pull over. A real nutcase. I intentionally stayed about a quarter mile behind him, he was actively looking to engage... on an early Sunday morning no less. Maybe he was just getting home from the bar.
As he was constantly waving his hand out the open window giving me the finger, all kinds of other rude gestures I won't describe, just nuts, I gave him the peace sign and got off the road as soon as I could. Now that I just don't get in NC... You never know if these crazy people are armed. Not exactly what I wanted before going to Meeting for quiet prayer... Meeting was really nice, they always greet me wonderfully, takes me five minutes to get through all the hugs. All good, really miss it.

Going to try to get off fairly early, have about fifteen minutes of hose draining and flushing first, and boy will I walk around the rv at least once to make sure I'm not leaving anything. Seems there's a big detour due to construction around Harrisburg, assume it's well marked.
Am looking forward to the scenery on I-81, leaves are turning, pretty out.

Only one cup of coffee before leaving, and one in the hot mug. My 18 dollar Proctor Silex coffee pot makes fine coffee, but I had to laugh when I unboxed it.
To save money, they only put a two foot electric cord on it. The receptacle for it in my little kitchen is under the cabinets above, about three feet away, so the cord won't reach. Good thing I brought some extension cords. These are the challenges of life I can deal with...

A few more things to stow, and then will read my book until light comes out. I am not working on sewer hoses in the dark...not a lot of light here.

I am back after a busy weekend of family birthdays and a visit by our son. He brought along the first girlfriend we have seen for a couple of years. She is a really nice girl, even Max approved.

Phi & Thomas, have you thought of trying one of those new French leaf blowers ? French Inventor Flies Across English Channel on Hoverboard - YouTube

54 heading for 65, I got 2.81 “ of much needed rain, more coming looks like.

Ellen and I are looking at trucks, but we are looking at $5000 junk haulers, I’m supposed to go up and look at a MF 1723 with a loader and 60” deck today, but Ellen’s dad had his bypass pushed up to 7 am today.

Walked about a mile yesterday and I’m not too sore today. Guess I’m improving.

Have a great day and enjoy the ride, it’s the only one we get.

The were both Millennials, born after Budweiser wiped out many of the traditional brewers in England. ... They didn't seem too happy with their socialized medicine; they had trouble getting appointments, didn't like paying more than their fair share while others paid nothing. I wouldn't have placed their accents as London, or maybe my ears were still ringing from the ride, but I had to keep asking them to repeat themselves.:confused2: They loved Yosemite, but not the food or the prices in the restaurants, and I wondered at their choice to spend the next week split between Las Vegas and Los Angeles. City boys, I guess.

Sorry if they spoilt your beer RNG, they sound typical of the moaners who always want more and never appreciate what they do have in life

The delay some people have in getting an appointment to see a doctor for less serious issues is a failing, but other than that, the UK National Health System, although not perfect, works quite well. The only people that do not pay into it are those on very low incomes, or a few unscrupulous ones with very high incomes who instead pay tax specialists enormous amounts to find ways to avoid making any contributions to society. I bet what they really thought was "unfair" was not being rich enough to get into the latter category.
