Farmer that rents our land came by this morning to pay this years rent.. had good crops this year, but the weather turned before they got all the wheat harvested.. too much moisture content now so they will have to leave it. He said they will try and disc it this fall (too heavy to plow), then disc again in spring and summer, probably summer fallow it.. I think he said he has about 200acres he was not able to harvest, $50k loss.
The weeds were bad for many of the local farmers this year, our field had peas, was sprayed twice and still have thistles. He worked it and then planted winter wheat, hope the weather warms enough for it to come up.
My pickup had intermittent codes, stabilitrac was one, before replacing any parts, I checked wiring from each wheel sensor, all good to harness under hood, traced harness to top of engine under plastic cover, removed cover and found mouse nest, cleaned it out, found several wires had been chewed, one nearly gone. I repaired wiring and cleared codes, all good since. As I typed this, I never checked under the engine cover on wife's Tahoe that is intermittently throwing stabilitrac errors.. guess I better have a look after while..
Seems a number of years ago, the insulation on the wires was changed to soy based instead of petroleum based, rodents like it. You can buy tape with deterrent in it (which I did after I repaired the truck wiring, but have not put it on..)
