32F, our high as temps drop and snow moves in this morning. Supposed to get down to 14F tonight. Take that, ticks!

Ron, your stove is looking good...I fired ours back up yesterday and Della spent much of the day in various positions next to it, including lots of lying on her back. This was after she went swimming on our hike when the temps were 31. I made sure when she got out of the water and shook off, I was well away from her.

been in the chair since 2 am. TBN was just offline a few minutes ago when I tried to post.
Yesterday was typical sunday, led singing at worship, had a large crowd. Lunch at the usual place.
Saturday was also typical, breakfast with the gang was over 2 hrs of talk.

temp was 28deg when I came down, now up to 32deg but high only going to 35deg, then down to 13deg tonight. Lot colder than what they predicted a couple days ago for tonight. My pellet box getting low, but enough to get past the next few days. I really don't want to be moving bags of pellets with my back hurting. It's getting better slowly, but don't want to aggravate it again.

Did some more updated labeling of old family slides, to indicate which tray they are in. Now if I want to rescan one, I know where to look. Some of these were first scanned in 2002. At least 33 trays done, so over 3300 slides with some slides not being in trays. This in addition to my own slide trays. There are still some pictures that I recall having seen in the past, that I have not been able to locate.

Thinking about partially finishing the last unfinished room above the garage, and putting in storage shelves. Our christmas decorations have been stored in crawl spaces, and my wife is saying she's tired of crawling... So am I... I have crawl spaces that aren't even used. Would be a nice place to store all these slide trays also, that are sitting in my office.
Not sure how much finishing I want to do. Room is about 10 x 12 I think.

yes, very good thing in that it kills ticks and fire ants.
no freeze, those fire ants would be up this far North by now.

only plans for today are having tea with landlady this afternoon.
will run downtown and pick up a poinsettia before I go

Yes, I was there ! Very moving, especially knowing that my Pop served in the Navy 1943 -1946. At the end of the war, his ship shuttled American troops back home from Europe. The Pearl Harbor exhibit was something I wanted to see for many years

Looks like work today, and wouldn’t you know that radio propagation looks very good today But I won’t be able to take advantage of that until later.

Yesterday I did make it out to the state park for 45 minutes or so before my hands wouldn’t work anymore . I came home and folded cards for Kathleen. Every year she paints 4 watercolors, 8” by 10” and brings them into Staples , who in turn , turn them into note cards stock. This year’s theme is Spring , Summer , Fall and winter from our Vermont home. This year she made enough cards for 60 packets. I believe we just had enough to give to friend and family.

Good morning TBN! Its 14 here in Houghton MI this am and zero at camp Covington. The predicted high here in town is 21 with no snow showing up.. We got home from camp late yesterday afternoon and had a short, but grand time there. Hope everyone's weekend was as nice!

Morning all!
Looks like we're already at todays high of 20! zero or one for the low tonight! This is not our usual December weather. Should be in the 40's.
Guess today will be a sit by the fire and drink coffee kind of day.

Had a nice quiet weekend for the most part. We were informed yesterday that we had won a Christmas tree at the local museum that we donate to! Gorgeous tree we are happy to have won! No pic as of yet but will try to get one.
We decided to give it to someone who is down on their luck and depressed about losing their job just in time for Christmas.

Neck and thumbs sure don't like the cold! Going in Friday for the first round of shots to try and kill some nerves on my spine. Not sure how that will go. Insurance demands 2 rounds before a more permanent solution can be used!

Not sure where I finished with shop projects.
