Never seen a bucket with holes in it like that 16"er. What if you're trying to bail out something? Did they supply corks?:confused2:

The forks on the FEL really came in handy, and I eventually got everything put down where I think I'll be able to get to it without having to move something else.

Do you have bolt-on forks on your bucket, or a QA fork unit? If bolt-on, how do you like? I'm thinking of getting some forks to improve life here. I'm getting ready to bring a pallet of firewood up to the porch...and I use a carry all which is very difficult to slide the angle iron into the pallet, especially since pallets have sagging tops.

Backhoe operates very nicely. The ISO pattern differs from my Kioti, so either I relearn or change plumbing, not sure yet. Main difference is dipper direction. Seems more intuitive that pushing valve handle dipper extends away.
Unfortunately I didn’t get any work done. Couldn’t mount either the ripper or 7 inch bucket

Bushing are on inside of mounting plates. Will have to contact dealer for resolution.

David, I've been looking into a backhoe for my LS XR4155HC.

I'm curious if you looked at the frame mounted LS LB2100 series backhoes? If so, what we're the drivers with going with the Betsco brand? Is there any reason you went with PTO powered hydraulic pump over tying into your tractors system?

I had the same problem with my iPhone the other night, Ron. The moon wasn't quite full, but it was such a deep orange color, it looked just like a pumpkin. But the iPhone turned the color into a pale yellow. Worthless photo.

Is that bridge designed to be submerged during times of high water flow, Don? If so, was it deemed too expensive to build a real bridge?

Turns out that Consumer Reports hasn't rated refrigerators since August of 2018, so nothing in the stores now would be covered, Don. LG, Samsung, and Kenmore topped the ratings then in most of the different styles, but each of those brands had models that fell into the bottom of the rankings, too. I haven't been very happy with my CR magazine subscription since they started offering a web version. The magazine has gotten a lot thinner, and everywhere you look, it mentions content that can now only be found on their web site. And of course, all of it is behind a pay wall, no free web access for magazine subscribers. I've also gotten tired of their PC preaching on the environment and safety, enough so that I won't be renewing my subscription when it expires. Think of all the paper I'll save them!

Anyway, Don, you're probably better off just going up to Amazon or Best-Buy and reading the reviews from people that have already purchased any refrigerator you might be interested in. People don't usually take the time to review stuff they like, unless they REALLY like it, but boy howdy do they love to rip on something they don't.

Yes the bridge is designed for submersion during a flood or just a lot of rain. Most of the ones around here are like that. I heard the budget for the bridge was $25K so that's it guess. We have another creek crossing on the trail we are doing now

I have been reading the refrigerator reviews it is very discouraging, every refrigerator I have picked out so far has a lot of problems.
The Whirlpool guy is coming by sometime soon, I hope, because my under warranty costco whirlpool dishwasher is leaking and throwing breakers. I'll see if I can get him to diagnose the fridge ice maker or at least give me some hints on troubleshooting.

I did Rick. A line by line comparison and the FM-BH8 was identical to the LB2100 except .9 inches increased reach and +139 lbs bucket digging force, but the biggest factor for me was more than $3k savings even after adding 2nd bucket, ripper, extended warranty. That made it less than 2/3 the LS price my dealer quoted and that included shipping for the BH8 but not state taxes for LS.

The PTO hydraulics were a non issue as no choice. Looking at it in real life, I don’t see why it couldn’t be converted to tractor powered. That would likely be my fix should the PTO setup fail. In fact someone with more knowledge could probably Tee In and make it either/or.

Having had 3 FM flails over the years, I was fairly confident this would be a good build. Compared to my Kioti kb2375, not disappointed. Would rate build and finish as equal or better.

I do have thoughts regarding a future frame mount, but not near future. My reasoning there would be easier mounting/dismounting. I’ve only mounted this one the 1 time. Compared to my frame mounted Kioti, not that more difficult. I almost always was challenged to get proper alignment with the Kioti subframe. I’m thinking my initial challenge with this bh was not getting started at proper height. Once I got that corrected it went well. Mybplan is modify my dolly to facilitate. With the subframe, unless I had a 2nd person I was repeatedly on and off the tractor. With my dolly, I envision just moving the bk into position with tractor remaining stationary.

No way I could throw that treasure chest of good looking stuff away.
And I didn't! That was just everything in the shed, good and bad, before I put the good stuff back in. Kept the gas and diesel cans of course, though if anyone were closer I'd give them away. Full truck load to dump this afternoon, now home relaxing, actually in motorhome now pleased the wifi gets out of the house ok, and the cordless phone works in here too. So....to the tune of a thunderstorm starting tonight at 9am, I'm going to spend my first night in here.

I dropped my subscription 2 years ago for the same reasons. Plus, half the magazine content was taken up with big fancy cartoon like graphics with much less real scientific testing or reviews. Just a real shame how fast it went down hill.

That's another good point, Wng. All that fine print, all that empty space, make for a very hard time reading with these old eyes.
