Getting Rid Of My "Backhoe Loop"

/ Getting Rid Of My "Backhoe Loop" #11
I find the loop irritating and occaisionally in the way. Shirley there is a better way than having a loop sticking out the back of the tractor.

The hose loops for my hoes are very short and when the hoe is not mounted,
they are connected together and out of the way. The longer hoses are on
the hoe. I do it that way with my custom set-ups with or without AUX
valves. I like to have the M and F ends connected together versus
unconnected QDs that collect dirt or need caps.

The factory setup on my B21 also uses a short loop with only one hose, and
the other QD on a bracket. Clean and out of the way.

Have you considered using shorter hoses?

I think in Ductape's current set up he has to connect the tractor side QD's to each other in order to complete the circuit when the backhoe is not attached.

In JD's setup, isn't there some kind of valve?

There is no valve, but the tractor side of the "loop" are mounted to a bracket, and there is a short jumper hose. A lot of Kubota's just have two hoses hanging free in the rear...so I assumed his was this way.

Ductape: Why not post a picture of what it looks like now so we can give better input?

I get it. Thanks. I had the "Kubota" floppy hose in my mind as the scenario.

You could about do the jumper hose all out of solid fittings. Put a few 90's together with a nipple or adapter in between and you've got your loop with very little obstruction, intrusion, or interferance.

This would work especially well if you're retrofitting since you could build the solid jumper and then adapt the bracket for the QD's to fit the span of the jumper.
