Gettin\' Married

Hey gang,

Gotta sign off for two weeks. Getting married on Saturday then off to the honeymoon in Banff (Canadian Rockies). Hope work is slow when I get back so I can catch up.

I'll miss the discussions, but not as much as I'll miss the tractor/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif. We've got horse rides & white water raft rides scheduled, but no tractor rides/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Re: Gettin\' Married

So - have you told her yet about your addiction to Tractor **** (aka TBN)? /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
You can't have a new bride and a mistress.

Seriously - CONGRATULATIONS! She's a lucky girl to get a husband with a tractor, and you're lucky to land a bride that will put up with a tractor owner. I took my bride to Banff on our honeymoon 33 years ago - what a beautiful place! Get up to Jasper if you can.

Re: Gettin\' Married

Congrats, Hazmat!

Enjoy your honeymoon in the Canadian Rockies. I have been to Banff and the surrounding area a couple of times and it is very beautiful.

Have fun!

Re: Gettin\' Married

Congrats Hazmat..... Like they always say with a new tractor.... Pictures.... we want pictures.......

Do me a favor... See if they have anyplace up there that offers ATV riding..... Renting and riding, won't bring our own. We enjoy that. Went to smokies last fall but would like some logging trail riding up north..

Good luck, have fun....

Re: Gettin\' Married

Hazmat,
Thats great news! You knew what you were doing all along when you got the tractor and the implements before you got the bride. I hope you have a great time on your honeymoon.

Re: Gettin\' Married

HazMat ... hope you're fluent with Japanese ... English is in subtitles under the Japanese on all the signs in Banff. It's my favorite ski place ... but it gets aggravating with all the cameras around all the time ... ever since the Japanese fell in love with the place and bought most of the shops.
Still ... you CANNOT beat the Canadian Rockies ... wonderful place for a visit ... or even for a honeymoon.
Buffalo at the Grizzley Inn (or elk) is superb! Good sushi just about anywhere. Couple of superb candy stores and a fudge shop to die for. No tractor shops though!
Don't forget to wave hi at Kevin (Knight9) when you fly out of Calgary (I assume you're flying).

Who'sYourDaddy/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif ... lots of places outside of the Park to ride (and rent) ATV's and dirt bikes in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter. Can't remember the name of the town right now, but there's a town on Hiway 1 (TransCanada) just before the Banff National Park gate that has great cross-country ski / hiking / biking / ATV trails ... as well as horseback riding.
Inside the Park is a little more difficult ... they don't mind hiking but they actively discourage most motorized stuff (as they're starting to do in Yellowstone) because most people seem to forget that damage lasts a long, long time.

Re: Gettin\' Married

Congratulations, hazmat. And I agree with the other guys; beautiful area to visit (unfortunately, we haven't been there since 1990).

Re: Gettin\' Married

Hazmat,

Congratulations and good luck. It's been 32 years for me and my bride, and it's been an outstanding experience. Hope it's the same for the two of you.

No tractor rides scheduled??/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif Well, maybe you can stop at a dealer as you drive by for a quick fix! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Re: Gettin\' Married

Everybody,

Thanks for the encouragement. My MMM came in yesterday & they are going to install it next week (while I'm gone -- how convenient). My bride to be is looking forward to mowing the lawn/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Hazmat,

Congratulations to you both and glad you have great weather for the wedding. Couldn't agree more with the previous posts that Banff is a great place to go.

Relax, enjoy the day, and have a great time.

Re: Gettin\' Married

Thanks for the encouragement everybody. It's a done deal. We had great weather & the ceremony & reception were alot of fun. The honeymoon was great too.

Just trying to catch up on TBN & the "chores" that need to be done around the yard. I'm enjoying the new MMM as well.
