Generator Question

/ Generator Question #21
if one is available, a hammer drill, with a ground rod driving attachment, does a great job. in some areas around here, solid rock is 3-4 ft down, so i learned to slant the ground rod, that way when it hits the rock it will deflect and you can get the whole thing in the ground. i have also gone to the plumbing supply house and got the magnesium anodes they use to put on/ground natural gas lines, they look like a 5-10 pound bag of flour, with a wire coming out the top, i bury those next to the gnd rods, as it rains, the magnesium leaches into the ground, and increases the conductivity, so the surge protection has a better chance of working...
