I replaced my gear shift 1st and 3rd are under the seat. I have it so it curves back toward the seat. I'm not sure but I think my other 1 was the same postition but it didn't go under the seat in 1st and 3rd.

Hi Mark

Just a simple thought - but if you removed the seat to change the gear stick, have you made sure the tracks have been bolted back down in the same holes - or that the seat is positioned where it normally is?

If so, and the gear selector is working properly with no slack, the only suggestion I have is that the stick must be facing the wrong way...
