GC 2310 (Mighty Mouse)
I sat on a new 2400 today:D The park brake is a BIG improvement the lever is up and to the left of the instrument panel. The lower side panel is only on the right side and it covers the hard hyd. plumbing instead of hoses on the 2300. If you have the grill guard you have to release the guard to open the 1 piece hood. The deck looks bigger but for us taller ones the pedals are a little close. The key you can be put on your key chain since it is small. Over all it looks like a nice improvement on a nice tractor. They wasn't open at the time so I didn't drive it.

Took a closer look today. The deck is 3-4" wider, the rear fenders are plastic:( the FEL controls are cables going to the valves under the deck behind the side skirt, the hood is still steel but you do have to swing the grill guard to open the hood. The park brake is a big improvement, the little orange lever on the left side of the instrument panel. The assist handles are nice. The price is up $1500

Thanks for the pics. Some improvements for sure, but not enough to warrant trading in my '06 2310 and several grand ! I wonder if a person can add the grab holds and platform deck skirts to the existing models ?

I looked at putting the handles on mine. The problem is the fenders on the 2400 are wider giving a place to mount the handle. It would take a little work to add. The deck skirt is only on the right side to cover the FEL valve and plumbing.

I bought grab handles for a JD and am planning on installing them on vertical sides of the fenders. I found a good spot where they will work great. Will post picks.

Neat-- my thoughts exactly, seeing that skirt.... The dash is really nice, too, with a one-piece plastic cover; the dash on the 2310, for those of us who like to keep things cleaned up, is a pain to get around with a rag. Bet it has dash lights, too! Also love the easier-to-read LARGE tachometer! Rick here in NH was promised one for our annual Home Show, but alas, it didn't make it in time....

No dash lights and the head lights can be turned on with out the key being on (dead battery).

I am debating btwn the GC 2400 and the JD 2305 and the BX2300. Here is a quote I rceived last week

The GC2400 with DL100(curved frame like JD and Kubota) loader, Grill guard, R4 industrial tires, 60" mmm. List $16436.00* Your cost $14172.00 w/ (financing?)

A better price than was posted on this thread. Anyway, I am waiting for this dealer to give me a call when he has it in stock so I can check it out. The drawback with the 2300 was the seat comfort and position of the loader control--was "reaching" for it versus the JD--very comfortable seat and with the JD loader control you could keep your arm tucked by your side---far more comfortable. Same with the Kubota but just a little less comfortable than the Deere but far more comfort than the MF. With alot of mowing and loader work it comfort is definately a factor. I know the JD came in 1k more ( I guess 2" of mower deck width and a wider bucket is what you get for your grand) than the others but if this is a purchase that will be around for 10-20 yrs, to me its worth it.

So , with all that said it looks like MF didnt upgrade the seat and I will be checking out the loader control position and overall comfort when I get a test drive. If anyone cnan address these issues or has or will be taking the 2400 for a test please post

Oh yeay forgot to post the financing offer with the new machine this is quoted from an email from the dealer......JD wanted 10% down at the new 42 mos 0% and orange zero down at 42mos 0 %

The current finance program on GC2400's is 0 down, 0% @ 36 mo. or 1.99% @48 mo. or 2.99% @ 60 mo.
