So these are the two tractors I'm considering. Not interested in a NH or JD. Both dealers are the same distance and have good reputations.

The tractor will be used for some landscaping, snow removal, tilling, and mowing. Implements of choice would be a FEL, box blade, 3pt mower, and obviously a tiller. Our property is very flat other than for the odd gopher hole, no trees except the rows we want to plant.

Anyone use both of these tractors before and have any likes and dislikes. I've sat on each and they seem all right, nothing ground breaking about one or the other. My previous tractor usage was a B1700 Kubota on loan so something like that with a little more HP is how I came to my two choices.

Any opinions are appretiated.

If they are both priced the same they shouldn't be, I do prefer sitting on the Kubota's and seeing where the height indicator of the deck can be checked and adjusted without having to get off the tractor to read. Other then that I'll leave it cause, see below.

Neil is right about the size, not going any further the differences is between tractor and garden tractor in comparision.

Oh yeah the price... they are about 2200 hundred apart. More for the Kubota obviously.

I guess that my question would be that if you are considering the GC 2400, perhaps you should be looking at the Kubota BX series, perhaps the BX2360. If you like the size of the Kubota B series perhaps you should be looking at the massey 1523, or possibly the 1528 though that is a larger tractor. It sounds to me like a BX / GC sized tractor would do all you need to do, and be a bit gentler on your lawn / better for mowing than the larger tractors. Since you like the RFM there is no advantage in removing, or installing the mowers either way.

Good post.

Thanks for the replies. I'll have to take a look at the BX line a little closer. The NH dealer is quite persistant and thinks a 1030 Boomer would suit me quite nicely as well. Guess I'll have to go drive them all around for a bit.:)

Wait, let me guess.... The NH dealer does not have and won't mention a 1025. I could not find a dealer who was willing to sell me a 1025 when I was looking either.
