Buying Advice GC2400 rear blade

I would suggest you do not mount it on the bucket.

In my opinion, the bucket on one of these is not heavy enough to do this, without eventually damaging it.

A 48" plow is not going to be wide enough to cover the width of your wheels, when you angle it. You will need 60 inches or more, to do this well....>8...

Thank for the recommendations. If I did this, it would be for strictly straight on plowing because it's too short. I've got a lot of hours behind a 4' blade on a Gravely L8, mostly on gravel so I know about the pivot point, skids and especially the impact shock when you contact something immovable ... with the L8 being I'm the rear wheels. It's probably better I look for something that fits. Boy do I appreciate rear wheels and 4x drive! Gotta find something to hang this 700 lbs of lead I have:)

Your welcome. Keep in mind, making a plow wider is pretty easy fabrication work.

I really took a short cut on mine, I bought 2 old Bolens tube frame, 42" plows, (readily available), and cut the ends off of one, and welded them onto the other. Presto, a light weight, but strong, 72" plow, with springs, and angle assembly.

I was not sure it would push a 72" plow. But, I thought I would try it.
It has no problem at all pushing it.
