Sounds like a good plan.

My dad's Honda TLB has an intermittent fuel issue, it's very frustrating.
I found the no-fuel problem for a friends Bobcat skidsteer yesterday afternoon. Fuel pickup hose broke off in the tank.

Ok, just mowed the yard. Noticed some strange things.

1). taching out at 2800 rpm's now.

2). while at an idle, and raise or lower bucket, engine speed increases from 1050 rpm's to 1300 rpm's by itself. does not exhibit this behavior with the forward/reverse pedal.


Hmmm

EDIT: I do have my power back though.

That's weird, is your 3pt hitch works properly. Because just by thinking about it, it sounds like the hydro flow may be restricted (somewhere after the loader valve) and your hydro pump may be working harder. When you activate the loader valve, it redirects the flow to the tank which also relief over pressure on the pump. I cannot see how the idle speed would change otherwise. This is just an hypotheses. Would that make any sense at all?

Update:

Had the Tech out today, and wouldn't you know it, could not replicate last Sunday's scenario.

Today's tach reading at an idle was 1300 rpm's, engine slowed slightly when operating hydraulics, vibration at 1500 rpm's seemed more than new but doable............changed fuel filter because it was a little darker than what I like to see, but tech said he doesn't think that is what cause it.

Can others post their idle tach reading please?

I have to admit.............and I smacked myself in the head several times............I did not test out the 3 pt. when this happened last week(before I went out over the road). Although the tech said that I should have gotten the same response as the FEL, if I would have tried it.
