GC 1720 joystick question

I bought a used 2018 GC 1720. I noticed the joystick seems a bit 'sloppy' compared to other tractors that I've used. The joystick runs thru a hole in the side of the tractor body with nothing supporting it but the rubber dust cover. I can't find a diagram to see if anything is missing. The joystick seems to work fine. Can anyone advise if this is the OEM set up or if something might be missing? Thanks....jkm

Did I miss a picture? I can't see it.

Looked a couple of others and the stick looks unusually long. It probably will have a lot of play at the end.

Actually that is the way it is.... Its supported by the valves/spring in hydraulic unit body and just hangs out there, boot is for pretty...

Sorry, I didn't include a photo. I thought it might be correct. The guy I bought the tractor from seemed like the kind of guy who took pretty good care of his equipment and I couldn't see him not replacing something that needed it. Thanks for the replies.....jkm
