Gauge wheels

I am planning on making some gauge wheels using receiver hitch tube and some trailer jacks. I was looking at this - receiver tube from HF . With this can I use 2" square tube to slide inside? What gauge square tube should I use?

Check these guys out! You've got one in Rah-cha-cha! I use the one in Bflo. Great guys, and I think they're reasonable, for getting new steel that's exactly what you want! ~Scotty

10 or 12 should work in inches 1/8 to 3/16.Just happen to be building me a set for my rake. Same as yours except i made my tube because using 1-1/2 sq. tube could not find apiece of 2" tight enough fit.Good luck with your project.Framer
