Gator 620I Starting problem

First post, be kind. I have a 2007 620I Gator with the Kawasaki motor. It has been extremely reliable. Last weekend, I used it. Parked it. Then went to move it. When I turned the key, the starter went "thunk". It sounded like the starter engaged but would not turn the engine. I removed the plastic cover from the side of the engine and rotated it by hand. everything is turning free. I decided the starter solenoid must be bad. So, I ordered a complete starter and installed. Still nothing. It acts a little like one of the neutral safety switches might be bad. The battery has a full 12.4v. I tried crossing the starter at the solenoid. The starter spun but would not engage.

Thoughts? Things to try?

Get the battery load tested.. I suspect it shows it is charged, but it can't handle the starter load.

Also, remove cables and clean well, before replacing. If not done already.

A good battery will normally read more volts than that. I agree, load test.

Load tested battery. I came back "weak". ...installed new battery. It made no difference. I tested the new battery. It pulled down to the 10.5v weak zone also. I made sure the Gator was in neutral, turned the key on and ran a wire straight to the actuator pole on the solenoid. It fired right up. So, I tried the key, still nothing. I replaced the starter relay under the dash (part AT75769). Problem solved. Anyone reading this, there are 3 of these relays in a row, under the dash, next to the steering column. Mine starter relay was the one fartherest left. I will attempt to upload a picture.
