G2160 dying when put under stress

I have a G2160 that really starts to sputter and occasionally will die when it is run at full throttle or when you engage the deck. I have replaced both fuel filters and tried a new fuel pump but it is still doing this. Anyone else have this problem or might know a possible cause?

Also the filters will not fill completely up. I turn the key 3/4 for the pump to come on but the filters never fill all the way up. The front filter will get pretty close but the back filter barely makes it to half way. I am thinking there is air in the lines but even when you bleed the lines it doesnt get the air out of the filters.

Hi,
Seems like I have a similar issue. I've replaced all the filters and pump and thought I had the problem solved, but after a while of work, the tractor started to die, then came to life. Don't really know what to do, maybe it is air in the lines? Maybe my fuel lines need replaced? My tractor is almost 10yrs old, so those lines could be cracked and letting air in.
Anyone got any ideas?

I finally got mine running good. I took the line off that runs from the tank to the first filter. I used my air compressor and shot air back into the tank. Apparently there was something stopping up the little filter at the bottom of the tank. BAD DIESEL!!! But it is running good now. Now I just need to find something to clean out the tank. My filters filled up after cranking it back up.
