FX22D Tire Size

The fx22d I just bought has 11.2x24 rear tires and 7x14 tires on the front. Anybody know if this is the correct sizes. I like the tractor and considering replacing my ym2002d with it if I can locate brackets to put my koyker loader on it off of my ym2002d.

I don't know but can tell you the parts manual for an FX24D shows 11.2-24 and 7-16 tires. Over in the back of the manual where it starts showing options it shows a different front axle and 7-14 tires and rims. No idea why it shows this option. My Japanese is nill.

Well still not sure about the tire sizes but the 4wd shifts smoothly and has no binding so I am hopefully OK. There is a small push button on the right side of the light switch. Anybody know what it's for?

Shows to be a horn button on an FX24 parts manual.

Maybe! There is a button on top of the light switch that has an horn on it so I assumed that was the horn. Neither work. I've been reading a little about parts availability on the FX models so I'm still not sure if I want replace my ym2002d with or not. It sure runs smooth and operates nicely. I am going to check out the loader brackets and see if I can get them. I can't do without my loader.

You probably already have one but if not I would strongly advise an over run clutch for the pto on your FX. That size FX's have a history of ring and pinion problems. Are you thinking of taking the loader off your 2002d? If so, I would think a metal fab shop or some such should be able to fabricate new ones or modify your existing brackets to fit your FX.

I do have a over run clutch but I have never used it on my ym2002d. I don't have a bush hog. I use it mostly for a finish mower and a tiller. It would be nice to have another set of brackets and use the loader on which ever tractor I choose. I might sale both of them and get a larger ym model.
