He Travis_R

Thanks for the pictures. I did find the fusebox. A couple of the fuses were blown, replaced those, now the lights work...an signals. I think one of the pic's shows maybe the in-line fuses, those are the one's I really need to find and check. With the weather warming up I can get out and do some more fiddling with the tractor.

Yes, one of the pictures shows the inline fuses. According to the operator's manual, one fuse is the rear work light and auxiliary power socket (blue wire) 12 Amp.
The other fuse is the horn (grey wire) 10 Amp.

I had to replace a couple fuses to get some of my lights working also. Replaced them a few years ago and never had a problem since.

Where did u get your fuses? I ordered mine from a Massey Ferguson dealer.

Travis_R ..I got my fuses from the MF dealer also.

Travis I forgot to mention that the MF dealer says he is going to scrounge around for me a owners manual.
Hope he can make that happen.

Did you ever figure out anything on the alternator not charging issue?

I'm not having any battery/starting issues with my 231, but the charging indicator light on the dash panel keeps blinking at engine idle. It's been doing this a long time now but has never gave me any starting issue. This is AFTER I start it up and give it a little throttle to make the light go completely out. After the light goes out and I bring the engine right back to idle, the red charging light tends to blink a lot. ...But I notice when I have the lights on or 'using' something with the electrical system, the light doesn't seem to blink. I wonder if a loose alternator belt could be the problem? I know it's a little loose.

For anyone wanting to know for future reference (but mainly for my forgetful mind to look back on), I found out today why the charging light kept blinking.. The only problem was the alternator/fan belt was loose!! I knew it needed tightening, but I didn't realize it was as loose as it was.
Tightened it up and no more blinking!
