Oil & Fuel Funny foreign math

I was studying the manual on my tractor when I looked at the specification page more closely. It lists the fluid quantities in Gallons...then beside it there are quarts listed. But the numbers didn't make sense. So it finally dawned on me that they just divided the gallons by 4 even the air cleaner oil at .19 to .05

somebody could get themselves in a lot of trouble following that chart.. Less than 1/2 qt. of oil to fill.???
My 10hp generator takes more than that. lol

Hang on a tick... Why would they even list quarts? AND, for whatever the reason, why did they divide by 4; shouldn't they have multiplied by 4 to give the total in quarts?

Mind you, with that manual, I'd suspect the "US Gallon" as India would've used the Imperial Gallon in their pre-metric days. (the Imperial Gallon is larger)

Or used metric volume and let people that wanted to convert do that themselves, to any gallon they might like.

One quart = two pints

one imperial pint = twenty fluid ounces

That doesn't make sense either. That would mean the fuel tank is only 3.63 gallons? I have not been impressed by my Korean TYM Mahindra manual either. Manuals are certainly a place they could use A LOT of improvement.
