Fueling Station

That is fantastic! I was sitting out in the shop today, thinking about making a fueling station, I even got out a set of casters to use. I couldn't decide to weld up one out of some angle iron or out of wood.

Yours gave me some great ideas and additional inspiration. I definitely like the hand truck idea, but then I would have to buy another one.... decisions, decisions.....:scratchchin:

Strap it to the dolly with a continuous movers ratchet strap and when want to use the dolly for other purposes unstrap the fuel unit.

Awesome! I've often thought about it, but wonder how much use it take to make the fueling station worthwhile (financially).

Nice job on building the portable fuel station. Looks professional !

I set one up in my 2nd garage using a "tote" (plastic container surrounded by aluminum cage $40 - landscapers use them for water transport), a $15 12v pump I bought on ebay, a cigarette power point $3, and some ¾" tubing $10. Hooked up the power point to the rear of the tractor, plug in the 12v pump, and "fill 'er up" in about a minute. Been using it for about 3 years now. Mine isn't portable for daily use, but I don't need it to be.

If you need portability, I think yours is terrific.

Wel, that is a very good simple solution! Rethinking it again!

This one is for sale cheap a few miles away from me. Not very mobile though...

and it would be about $25,000.00 Cdn for a diesel fill.

I have a 275 gallon oil tank for fuel storage for my back up generator (60 days supply for those that are interested in such numbers). I just put a hand pump on the tank so that I can feed my tractor when it is thirsty.

I have since painted the tank blue since this photo was taken, but need to stencil it with the number of gallons and it being #2 diesel fuel.
