A couple of years ago I bought a new 3300SU. For over a year now the fuel solenoid is not "clicking" when I turn the key. Sometimes it does, and some times it doesn't. I've traced the problem to the little grey plug-in that goes into the side of the solenoid. Jiggle the wires, and eventually you'll get the desired "click". The question is: Can I find a replacement to just the female side of the plug in.
My local dealer (which is questionable) says the plug is not available by itself one must buy the entire wiring loom. This is not something I want to do. I only want to replace the plug.
Any help you guys could give would be most appreciated.

Before you go to far,

It's only two or three wires , correct?

Disassemble both plugs and solder the wires together as a temporary "test" to see if the plug connection is in fact the issue.

I bet it's not.

You can de-solder the test connections later.

Some place like this ,TheElectricalDepot.com!, Electrical Connectors and Much More! might offer the connector you are looking for. Then there is always Digi-key.

Thanks for the advice but the male side is built into the solenoid. The female side has two wires. So I'd be soldering to the spades on the solenoid which I'm reluctant to do. What is "digi-key"?

I am sure that is where the problem is. The mechanic at the tractor tried jiggling the wires and could start or stop the solenoid. There's really no question that's where the problem is. Presently, I have a zip tie around the wires and the plug and it makes proper contact. I was hoping I could fix it.

Crimp or solder new female spade connectors onto the wires and fit to solenoid male terminals so they are making a positive connection. While it's possible there is a bad connection inside the solenoid, the most likely bad connection will be the mating spade connectors, or the females to the wires.
